    Redesigned USA + Details needed

At around 6:10 in the The Crew 2 gameplay video, you get a glimpse of the eastern US map. They say it is a fully redesigned map, but I looked at The South zone, and it looks the exact same. I then watched BlackPanthaa's TC2 gameplay video and I saw the same map layout. The original map was just copied into The Crew 2. What they must mean by "redesigned" is that they remade the water so it is capable to handle boats and remade the air for planes. Only the cities are changed up and some of the coastline. So when driving, I may have to use the same highways in the countryside that I did in the original game. That provides no appeal and it will be boring when I drive with friends across the country.

---- Road detail changes & additions ---- (hopefully a dev from Ubisoft reads this)

Some details I saw in the gameplay video should be changed and some added. The traffic lights should be placed on the other side of the intersection from where you are, just like IRL. It would be good if you like to drive in first person and have a drag race.
A large variety of roadsigns should be added across the US map, such as the green directional signs. Unlike in the original game, they should be accurate and look just like IRL. Similar to FH3, they should be at every intersection. When you drive across the country on Interstate Highways, green signs would show for the next exit, showing the services (gas, etc.) and cities. The game should be where you can travel cross-country without using the in-game map or mini-map.
. In some locations where there's a landmark, there should be brown signs on the road indicating landmarks or showing directions to the landmark.
Highways in The Crew 2 should be numbered just like IRL. When you move the cursor on the map over a road, the name/number would show next to the cursor. They could be used for reference in-game, and give you the feel of driving across the US.
On a long road, portions of the road should have varied pavement textures. Pavement could be light or dark colored, rough and smooth, etc., causing different vibrations on the controller.
. In the game, ALL major Interstate highways should be divided. For example, the highway between LV and SLC.
On the major highways, the light poles should be removed, except when in and around cities & intersections. Only if the car headlights are fixed.
On the divided portions of highway, the one way road's left shoulder (yellow line) should be smaller and the right shoulder (white line) larger. That counts for on/off ramps as well.
Along the highways at night, there should be reflecting dots on the painted lines to add to the experience of driving at night.
. On the highway, on/off ramps should have a green sign that shows "EXIT" with a slanted arrow.
. When driving across the US, there should be a sign on the highway where you cross into a different zone. For example, it would say "Entering WEST COAST Zone".
. On stretches of 2-lane road, instead of the road only having a double-yellow line, there should be sections with dotted-striped lines, depending on if the section of road is on a hill or not, affecting visibility of the road ahead. In the original game, only having the double-yellow line adds to the boringness of the road.
In California, there should be the blue & yellow "call box" on the side of the road about every mile.

    .
    --- Terrain / road alignment changes & additions ----

. What should be added in the map is the Interstate 15 corridor from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. It would be a faster way in between LV and LA and it wouldn't be boring if there was the Cajon Pass and that one long stretch through the huge desert valley.
I think the Mulholland Drive should be extended WEST to include the "Snake" viewing point where usually motorcycles meet.
In the Los Angeles Basin, the freeways should have at least 6 lanes with a HOV lane on the left, like IRL. It would be a large roadway to play with cars in and add to the feel of Los Angeles.
In The South zone, the entire area from Nashville to the East Coast needs to be remade. Instead of just trees on hills, there should be the Appalachian mountains extending into the south. Cities such as Knoxville and Gatlinburg should be added. The Smoky Mountains have tight and twisting roads with passes through the mountains. If in-game, it can contain cool trails for off-roading vehicles and extreme roads for racing and drifting. Plus, there would be more sights to see, such as being on top of the mountains and looking over both Tennessee and North Carolina, and the sights of the tourist towns of Gatlinburg (the Space Needle) and Pigeon Forge.
. The section of the map (TC1) labeled "Mesa Gwendolina" and "Big Bend" should be entirely scrapped and redone in TC2. First of all, the I-10 corridor is north of the entire Big Bend. The area should be remade just like on a real map of the U.S., just like Big Bend Mountains should be set in between the I-10 corridor and the Rio Grande. Unlike in TC1, So many landmarks should be added, including Santa Elena Canyon & the Pasiano & Wild Rose Passes. Many roads such as Ranch Road 170 can provide extreme racing opprotunites, with the danger of falling of cliffs into the Rio Grande. And the entire Big Bend Mtns provides the perfect place for off-roading. It would be cool to fly planes in the deep canyons of the Rio Grande and through out the box canyons of the area. The Rio Grande should be able to handle boats in-game without the player getting reset on-land because of the border. The towns of Presidio, Marfa, and Alpine should be added, along with keeping Fort Davis.
. What should be added in TC2 as well is the Sacramento Mtns. It offers more twisting roads and challenging uphill mountain climbs. On the west side of the mtns is the wide open Tularosa Valley. It would be a great addition to the game as it includes the White Sands which offers off-roading across dunes of white sand. And to the north in the valley is fields of lava rock. It has landmarks such as the Trinity Site, and the White Sands itself. The towns of Ruidoso and Alamogordo should be added as well, with the US highways 54, 380, 82, 70, and the many scenic NM state roads. There is one tunnel along highway 82 that would be nice in-game. This would be a good replacement for the "Mesa Gwedolina" area in the game.
. The Rio Grande in TC2 should be extended all the way from El Paso to north of Santa Fe, like is is IRL. It would allow us to drive boats to Santa Fe.
. Texas should be remade & made larger in TC2. The roads in-game should be aligned just like the real map. Especially Interstate 10, which goes through many environments, would provide cool road trips. Along I-10, there are massive passes carved out of the rock. At some passes, the highway has a large median where it isn't carved and could be used as a natural ramp. The Hill Country has many cool things to see. The Highland lakes would go good for boating in the game.
With a larger Texas, it should include the City of Austin, because first, there is the city, but along with that, the Circuit of the Americas racetrack should be added. Along with that, there is the Colorado River that goes through downtown and through beautiful Hill Country. Bridges such as the Pennybacker Bridge would look cool in-game. Nearby San Antonio should be added as well, with the downtown sights and freeways. Loop 1604 should be added, as you could have a race around the whole loop. Interstate 35 should connect DFW, Austin, San Antonio, and beyond. Fort Worth should be added onto Dallas.
In TC2, Yellowstone should be remade as well. The park in-game should be more of a square, just like IRL. More places like the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and the Norris Geyser Basin should be added, along with the Firehole River & Yellowstone River. It would be more fun & less boring to see it than in TC1.
The Great Plains in the game should be much larger. And the road layout in the plains should look like a grid with long, straight, open highways where you could speed across the open US and test your top speeds.
The area north of Las Vegas should be changed a bit. The interstate highway from Seattle to Las Vegas should be realigned from Seattle to Salt Lake City (a more east-west highway labeled I-84). Then, the US highway 95 should be added in between LV and Seattle. The Interstate highway across the Bonneville Salt Flats should be straight the whole way.

I'll be adding more details as I watch more gameplay videos soon.

Minor changes on the east coast indeed. Maybe there's more new stuff on the rest of the map.

All those things sound great. A few more things are that they really needed to make the houses in Beverly Hills bigger. Most of the houses there are huge, and the ones on Mulholland Drive are small little houses with no driveways or gates. Its very unrealistic. Yellowstone does need to be remade and the Geysers were right next to the highway and puny. If they really wanted to replicate Yellowstone then they would put it in the park with all the boardwalks and out buildings. Not next to large highway,Las Vegas definently needs to be redone as many of the bilboard ads repeat themselves, parking lots, garages, and even the front doors of the casinos/hotels are blocked by a fence? They aren't blocked by a fence in real life. They definitely need to add more cities in the Tennesee/North Carolina area. They left them out and it left the map feeling empty. Of course, cities like Gatlinburg and Asheville should be included. Along with a larger interstates, that means there would need to be more gas stations and possibly even small restops. The gas stations should be functional in this game. Great suggestions listed previoulsy just adding a few more.

From the videos it looks like the exact same game engine, same physics, same map, just with a few graphical tweaks and extra features added.

    You are wrong about this.
The engine is different, which is noticable when you look at all the new details. For instance, the crossbike's handling allowes for you to do a 180° on the frontwheel now when you do a stoppie. And this is far beyond any boundaries of TC1's handling.
Same map? Also wrong. I drove around NYC yesterday (was at gamescom and got to play the game) and explored a bit; there are way more highway entrances and exists. The overall foliage is pumped up, too; when you drive alongside Manhattan, you will get into a forest which is completely new. Even the E3 demo of The Crew 2 featured some new structures and redesigns, for example this one:

I can assure you, The Crew 2 definitely is not just a "slightly reworked game", but something entirely new with a lot more content.

TC1's bike physics are plenty capable of a 180 stoppie, you can already whip the tail around doing a handbrake turn. It's clear from gameplay videos that the physics haven't changed much. Calling TC2 "entirely new" is a stretch.

It's interesting that you, who haven't played this game, say that physics are the same.. How can you know that? Me and @DatWut played this game and it's physics engine is not the same for sure..

Oh yeah? You can do a 180° turn on just the frontwheel? With the rearwheel being up in the air?
Fine, go ahead and do it. Also, record it, curious to see how you do it.
    Spoiler: you can't
