    Can't advance! can't beat Zoe

I have xbox one. I initially downloaded demo version of the crew, then uninstalled and installed full version of the crew, uninstalled it then now I installed and played the crew wild run edition. the progress is saved from the demo version. I have a slow Dodge challenger that handles bad and it's impossible to beat Zoe. I can't advance to any other plays! I can't even join crew or multiplayer the menu says "this app is disable'. From the demo version to right now I only see Calling all units on the first screen. whats going on? i want to play multiplayer, join crew and drive other cars and motorcycles. what can i do? please help.

do some skills with your vehicle to get it higher then go back and try the mission again.

ps:game is called after the latest DLC so it's now The Crew Calling all units for everyone even if you don't own calling all units.

First i wanted to pray 'Dont play on a Toaster' but then I read Xbox and im like WTF???

    1) Multiplayer must be unlocked with Xbox live?? im afraid.

    2) Assuming the game runs on constant 30fps on the XBone (meaning the game runs on normal game speed and so does your car), you must be a bad driver.

Seriously, it is possible to beat Zoe at even 15-20fps on PC while using the keyboard and without driving assist. As long as you dont drive against every wall you see...

So if its not a technical issue, pro tip= Use the brakes before corners.

Yeah, my suggestion would be to slightly brake and turn nicely. Or cut the corners.

Other than that, if you're fine with the concept of dirty racing, then you can try taking advantage when Zoe is turning by softly bumping against where she turns or block her way, she will slow down and you will keep going. Of course I wouldn't recommend this when you are racing with players. Respect.

I see its an old comment, but i needed advice on this race and wanted to check, does Zoe start far ahead or is it just my game? Cause i can't get close to her, even if I nos at right moments and slow down slightly for corners :/ 20 minutes on the mission and i just cant keep up with her. Using the dodge challenger i may start a new game and pick Nissan cause all videos I've watched today seem to be Nissan's and they manage to overtake her within first two checkpoints i appreciate this is old and you may not play anymore.. But you got any advice or insight on why Zoe is starting the race so far away from me?

    Hey there and welcome.
How far ahead does Zoe start? From what I recall, you should be close-ish to her, maybe one car-length in between, but I will go into the game to check if what I am saying is correct.
Question though: how good or bad is your PC? My speculation is that maybe, if you are playing on a low-end PC, your car doesn't load in fast enough but the mission already starts (i.e. Zoe's AI kicks in and begins driving before you're loaded in properly). Not sure if this is even possible from a technical point of view, but I am not a tech-support or anything alike, just speculating.

As long as we are speculating, use of the skip movie option or non use of it will start story missions differently, on ps4 when I use the skip movie option I'm closer to Zoe at the beginning. However in different missions you may get different results such as in the take down mission "Counter" using the skip movie option starts you farther from your target objective than allowing the movie to play out.

Yeah, that's a trip. Sometimes you wanna let the movie play all the way or else you start off at a weird angle or other stuff that messes you up. Other times, skipping the movie just skips the movie and saves you some time. If you're skipping the movie and having weird starts, try letting the movie play all the way through and you may get better start results.

11-03-2018 UPDATE: Buy the Nissan with your bucks. It's the only way to beat her. the starter car isn't fast enough. I beat her the first time, and also:

1.) SLAM INTO HER THE FIRST CHANCE YOU GET!

2.) CHEAT: YOU CAN DRIVE THROUGH GATES, LOTS, JUST AS LONG AS YOU MAKE IT TO THE CHECKPOINT.
IT *DOES NOT* MATTER HOW YOU GET THERE!

I cut her off three times by cutting through parking lots and side streets. That is the way you're expected to drive anyway.
You won't beat this game by obeying traffic laws.

Same issue. Just buy a Nissan with a Level 11 and tune it up. All cars are Perf lvl 66, but the vehicle is what matters. It has to AT LEAST 11 (the number with blue badge around it is the vehicle level). The number besides the [F], [S], OR [D], etc is the Performace level or Tuned level..IDK.

This race, the very first race in the game, is broken. It's not possible to beat Zoe.

It seems to not be broken for everybody, since some people say it was easy for them. But then some people say it was easy for them on PC but when they played it on console it was impossible for them. Some people say it's impossible for them on the PC. I'm playing on PC and it's impossible.

If this race is broken for you like it is for me, the only way to beat the first race in the game is to cheat and hope that chance is in your favour as much as possible. You'll need Zoe to crash at least a couple of times in a huge way that totally throws her off. If you majorly cut the first slight turn in the road, then at the first big turn in the road steer into her car and she'll drive off of the road and possibly crash into a tree. You'll likely go off the road as well, but you'll hopefully be able to manage it better and not spin out or crash but continue on the road quickly.

But that alone probably isn't enough to beat her as she catches up to the player pretty quickly. I had to block her attempts to pass my car for a while, but she managed to get passed eventually on a corner. But I was also able to push her off the road into the park towards the end of the race by doing the same trick of steering my car into hers as she's taking the corner, and my car just happened to have a clear path through the park (I didn't have much choice where it went through the part). It was basically fluke that it all played out that way.

Barring those two things, I would have never beat her no matter how well I drove. Her vehicle is simply faster, she accelerates away at all times, she takes corners perfectly unless she's being driven off the road by the player, and she never hits traffic.

Ubisoft are repeatedly incompetent in so many ways - from their game development to their forum moderators. It's astonishing how completely incompetent and disreputable Ubisoft are.
