Ubi should really consider making this game free to play or at the very least give away free weekend play to all a few times a year. New games are coming out soon an some of us are going to leave an never look back.

Go ahead make this game free to play an cash in on all that new player base microtransaction money.

I've had friends ask me if they should buy the game after hearing about all the problems it's had I told them hell no but if this was f2p I'm sure they would at least try it an more than likely spend some money over the course of a year or more of playing.

Theres no reason to make 4H f2p. this tread looks like a beg. making 4H f2p would suck for all those who baught the game. and a favour to microtranzactions abouve the pay once and play it forever is the worst ideea ive heard so far. sure. a few weekends a year of f2p would be nice. for the new comers. but anything els its a bad ideea. + its pay 2 play once and youy play it forever. its not like you need a supscription or anything

I like the idea and I know at least 3 friends that will like to play it but are afraid to buy it right now .
And maybe to compensate the one that buy the game let us buy skins,executions, and emotes , for steel and the player's that come after for cash .

I think the player base is dwindling a bit. It's getting harder and harder to find games...
I think free to play would be a bad move. It would be very disappointing for everyone that had already bought the game. Especially those of us who have been with the game from the beginning and who have been regularly suggesting improvements and keeping up with the devs as they try to make the game reach what it could have potentially been.

So, personally I think the best move would be to do a free demo weekend every season when the new characters are released to non-season pass holders. Then during or after the trial you could host a half-price sale or something for a few days. That would get quite a few new players in I'm sure.
You could also host double exp or double steel weekends on those same weekends for players that own the game. That would perhaps entice some old players back.

I think what we what need is a trial version of the game available to download at any time, this game really does need more exposure with all the negative reviews you'd be nuts to buy this game. but if you actually played it more people might be willing to give it a chance, and we need something like this because the player base is dwindling, I know ubi denounced the rumor that 95% of the player base was lost since launch, while i'm sure this figure is exaggerated, you cant deny that there has been a major drop in activity despite the claims to the contrary

Its not a bad ideea....and they have different ways to make it up to the people that got the game.....like unlocking all the cosmetics in the store + future ones for free if you have the game + xp boost permanent i think that wold be a good start to compensate us for buying a 100 euros game....atlest it wont be a dead game...and make it that cosmetics cost real money.....and steel is used only to upgrade stuff that way the cosmetics ir kinda only for paying customers....

or they can make a new curency....that people can ghet only with money to buy cosmetics so the free to play people can buy to unlock cosmetics

me personally, i'm against making 4H f2p and instaid pay money for unlockables and skins. id rather buy the game once and benefit from the ingame content freely rather than play the game free and have to pay so i can customise the character as i see fit. and as duskmare said, it would be a slap in the face to everybody that baught the game and "worked" with the devs to improve the game.

You get all the new characters if you bought the game (to add, like a founders edition) also this game has A LOT of microtransactions, and people are willing to pay for them, its already a F2P economy in a 60$ game, also what the game needs now its players, its dying and with the new games that are coming (the new wolfenstein and evil within that runs on idtech 6 with vulkan, the same performance as DOOM) its a no brainer to just leave the game, no one is going to pay more for this game, ubisoft already got the expected money from the game and dont really need to take more actions (since they are going to lose money if they do that) the wisest choice would be making it F2P so it revive and also to get more money

I just want to throw this out there, EA just announced all their DLC will be 100% free for starwars BF2, they're showing you up ubisoft whatch you gonna do?
