To me it's not a for honor like game I tried to convince myself as it was my first idea of this game but they told something about being able to be alone but it's hard to stay alone and you will need to join some team to survive so no lobby and matchmaking I guess but we may see a battle instance where they put further objectives?
Second, they said you could be traitorous so nothing possible or even no point if it was something like for honor IMO

    Hey Majortouille !

I'm totally agree with you. This game is very different than For Honor and I'm sure everyone will be agree after the release of the game.

    Best regards,
    Nash

Going back to Skull and Bones, it's hard to compare it to other titles. Stay around and you will get a better idea following the content we'll release in the future
I think what he mean is about connectivity issues to be well known as a FH problem. Please guys work hard on this BEFORE the game is released. It's the second Ubisoft released (Division and FH) where the community flew away because of instability.

    Hope to get news soon

Skull and Bones looks awesome but will you bring in many concepts of Black Flag and expand on it and not only on the multi-player front which looks awesome with an interesting mode so far. Can we expect whaling to return, going a shore to hunt and find bury treasure or investing into our prosperity? Will we be able to get up to a Man O War and have our own? If we are able to have our own pirate armada then how then can we communicate and assist each other? Will there be a number of different weapons, armor and abilities that will be expanded through time? Is it that if we play on a certain ship then we can invest more into it to build it up? How will the player be able to face off with the sea monsters and such? Will we only be allowed to fight on the water or also on land and ship? Will we be able to dive underwater for gear and treasure? Could we see Black Beard return and perhaps even the fantasy Long John Silver or Capt. James Hook in the game? Will we have to collect resources as well as gold in order to upgrade or is there a different system in place?

No amount of "open world" ocean is going to make this into a fun open world game. A lot of the fun of Black Flag came from the interplay between land and sea. Things like being able to pull into ports and seamlessly (no loading screens) jump off and explore the islands, where you could hunt, find treasures, raid plantations, get into bar fights then get drunk, explore Mayan ruins, etc.

Even on the sea, there was content like assaulting forts, boarding other ships, underwater diving, and harpooning that we know will not be present in this game, since it's entirely played from the helm.

So, open world or not, it basically comes down to For Honor with ships. A multiplayer game who's draw is that it's closer to the simulation side of things than other titles in the genre. That's fine, but it's not at all what I wanted out of a Black Flag spin-off.

(What I did want was more Black Flag, basically, with the Assassin's Creed plot replaced with a normal pirate plot, the new naval improvements like wind and crew management being factors, and a better fencing system.)

I find way too negative I've played more than 500hours on a naval game of the1800 era with open world and lots of PVP with harbour attacks and Nation mechanics called Naval Action, you couldn't even see your captain on helm but damn this game was so cool especially if you find a good team to go on the hunt. I played a lot of for honor and believe me the both has nothing in common. It doesn't serve any purpose to be negative all the time wait and see if it's not a game for you there are plenty other games you could find your fun in and maybe you will have lot of joy in this one so you have nothing to loose since you didn't even put one cent in this game.
