Enjoying this victory too. Another thought as a side note: If we do not win this war this time, we will get .. nothing, pretty much. Knights and Vikings will receive backup in form of two new heroes. It is rather safe to assume the new maps won't be Samurai themed as well. So .. at least get this victory with all the loot and rewards coming with it. Time to take some spoils!

Is that fact or assumption? Obviously the vikings will get a hero, but one of the other two factions needs to double up, have they said it will be knights?

How do you figure that? About the heroes I mean. We still aren't sure if highlander will even be a Knight faction hero. He could easily be Viking faction.

If the game actually followed history he would be considered a Knight faction player, but it doesn't. Highlander's could be a Clan of Viking from the Highlands in the Viking realm. In truth Highlander fits Vikings better in fighting style and in looks as well. He could easily be a Viking hero. Unless you know something I don't, I'm not up to date on all the leaks.

Roman is in to Knights hence giving centurion to them the next heroes will be highlander and some sort of gladiator so viking + knights....

I would like the faction war to be more well crafted of what it is. Gee the same is true for the whole game..
I still like it thou but being invested in something so trivial is hard.

New heroes and maps are untied to war faction (how it must be) so it shouldn't be mention as part of it.
For other part, I don't see any roumor of the new heroes, but it could perfectly be 2 vikings for samura- kinights, 2 vikings, samurai-knights, at the end. It's a common way to balanced this kind of thing: who don't get anythin first round, get doubled in middle round.

Naah, the neckbeards are the largest faction since s2, not much larger than the awesome and almighty Samurai, but much less effective.

everytime i see a Thread like that i start to wonder if people actually believe that they can have an influence at the outcome of the round.

i deploy my war assets too but i highly doubt that the war can be influenced by the players.

for example if a faction is on its last few territories they miraculous come back and steamroll into the midlands... this might be because the war assets can be deployed on less frontlines and thus wont spread out that much.... ooorrrrrr there are some boosting faktors of witch we are not infomed.

also perplexing is how much the knights in season 2 show way more strenght now. almost as if someone decided that they need a little help after the first season was so meager for them. because i highly doubt that they got all of a sudden so many more active players.

also wondering if the vikings got a bit of a penalty after winning the first season. Might as well lost their bonus to the knights now for all that i know.

well i dont want to put on a tinfoil hat so i wont go into that topic much further.

at the very least i can surely say that most of it boils down to dumb luck.

What will happen is the historically known "Vikings Civil War" that happened during year 1 a.A. (after Apollyon fall), where Vikings , the remaining civilization after the famous First Faction War, destroyed each other following different leaders. One of that Viking leaders, called Delfin The Dragonborn, decided while watching his brothers slaughter each other, that it was time to bring a new more civilizated Kingdom to the throne, so he and his followers left Vikings land and ended in the East, where he became a Samurai in his path to Wisdom and united all the remaining non-fallen samurai under his flag, at the same time that Vikings Civil War ended, during the one vikings lost a good bit of its power, and the new Samurai Emperor, Delfin The Dragon, was ready for the real fight to destroy his barbarian old brothers: Season 2. Me in my real faction soon. Fear S2 Samurai.
