*Before I begin, let me just say that I understand that someone quitting can really spoil a game and I am not a fan of it either. However, sometimes there are REASONS behind WHY someone quits a match early, and those are issues that Ubisoft OBVIOUSLY doesn't want to or doesn't care to address. They'd rather throw in some cheap penalty mechanic than actually fix the game. This is nothing more than a shoulder shrug to appease those who are *****ing about, quite frankly, one of the lesser issues in this increasingly broken game.*
I've been a huge fan of Ubisoft and its games through the years but the last few games have left a bad taste in my mouth. Siege ended up being a decent game although no one expected it to, although balancing (go figure, Ubisoft) was always a bit off and any update threw 20 new glitches into the game. The Division was the biggest flop on the PS4 platform to date, and now you're following suit on what could have been an amazing game.
First, you have never really (successfully) addressed connectivity issues nor tried to balance gameplay or lobbies. Anytime anyone leaves the game freezes for 10 seconds. Without that, you have about a 20% chance of being dropped for some other glitch or connection issue. Then there's the gameplay. More times than not you fill games with people that are Rep 7, 10, 20, against Rep 0 Characters, and now you're expecting everyone to sit through these games? Second, why in the every loving f*%# do we have to wait 5-10 minutes to find a game with "HIGH ACTIVITY?" and how hard is it for you to be able to actually put people in game lobbies before the game starts? You know whats just as annoying as someone leaving your game? Having to leave the lobby after every game in order to wait another 5 minutes to find a game since you're too incompetent to add players to a game lobby before the game starts.Third, we finally have gotten used to the balancing (and you did a decent job) before this last update so that the game was enjoyable no matter what class you played. Then you release this update with these two new completely broken characters and then refuse to fix them. They've completely changed the game mechanics of PVE and made revenge irrelevant. Anything that isn't 1v1 is just a constant gank fest.
...But that's not the reason why I'm quitting your games. The fact that you never update anyone on what you will be patching or working on, never actually perform a successful update (with balancing, matching or connection issues), and never actually listen to or reply to feedback from the people who actually play your games, is the reason why. IF YOU ARE GOING TO START PENALIZING PEOPLE FOR LEAVING BROKEN, UNBALANCED, UNEVENLY MATCHED GAMES THAT YOU'VE DECIDED TO IGNORE, THEN THAT IS ON YOU.
I am no fan of people quitting, but there are definitely legitimate reasons for people to quit a game, and until you fix matchmaking and connectivity issues and the massacre of other glitches that you've been turning a blind eye to...I simply won't be supporting you anymore. This game can just die like The Division did for all I care now. I could see penalizing people for ranked matches as you had before in Siege, but what is the point for regular non-ranked matches to have penalties when the main goal is to have fun? No one wants to sit through a game that freezes every few seconds, nor sit through the infamous 15-973 loss in skirmish. Balance the games. P2P connectivity obviously isnt working. Get dedicated servers. Do the OPPOSITE of what you are doing now, seen as every update you release either does nothing or makes game quality worse. Through all
This is the last straw for me and I will never be purchasing a Ubisoft game again, given your consistent record with upkeeping your games. We shouldn't be penallized for your inabilities.
For those of you looking to troll and say "well dont play the game then, or blah blah blah thats what you get online," I will gladly rescend this complaint if Ubisoft wants to reimburse me for what I've spent. Most game makers today are capable of balancing and updating games, which is a standard we've come to expect. Ubisoft simply cannot keep up and we seem to be left with the bill.
Completely agree with what you said Pwnsky. Just went through a string of matches that ended with my team only consisting of two players (myself and 1 other), under leveled and up against a full team of people with much higher levels than myself or my solo ally.
To start things off... Is your matching so bad that you cannot balance a 2v4 match? I would hope that 2v4 could be 3v3, but what do you know? You won't listen and you won't fix an obvious gaffe, Ubisoft.
Following, I was given a matchmaking penalty when I realized I didn't want to lose 120 to 1000 again. So i ask again, where can I find a Ubisoft game that will have decent balancing and not bone me for wanting to play a decent game?
Lastly, I bet... that long matchmaking loading times were purposefully done so that matches would be even... wait... nvm (find the joke in this one).
I'm not holding my breath to see Ubisoft do anything. So far, they don't seem to want to help the community, which is why I probably won't buy another Ubisoft game after buying the broken platform of For Honor. I mean, your online servers are so fragile; I have to play 10 games and get kicked out of 5 of those games, to accomplish one of your simple missions. It's completely absurd.
the penalty should be worse than 10 minutes. if you enter the game, you take responsability for the fact that you may end up against people with higher gear. i agree, nobody likes it and they should fix it. but the fact that they didnt fix it doesnt give you the "right" to leave a match and ruine the other 3 players experience, mor than it allready is. play t he game like it is in hope for a better tomorrow or dont untill they fix it.
Yes, but it was the last straw. lol.Originally Posted by Gemoroda Go to original post

I once played a skirmish match 1v3 (all against me) and 4v1( all against them). The only reason I didn't leave the 3v1 was because the players were somewhat honorable and didn't gank all that much. The 4v1 guy left a third of the way into the match and I don't blame him. When unevenly matched like that theres no way of winning when constantly ganked, and the game loses its fun. Who gives a **** if the 3 players fun was ruined when all they were doing was snaking and trolling
and here we go with what i already made threads about that were largely ignored bc i'm a "junior member" i guess lol... the rage quit penalty is ONLY here bc ubisoft simply cannot make thier game continue on if someone quits for ANY reason... they have ignored the real issue and tried to bandaid it with a quit penalty, which has ONLY PISSED OFF MORE PLAYERS bc now ...as i said a couple weeks ago PPL ARE WRONGLY GETTING THIS PENALTY... go look on facebook, at thier post about the emblem making contest, its nothin but ppl complaining about getting the penalty after getting disconnected...
This penalty is bull$hit, I don't condone rage quitting, but in a casual non ranked match there is ABSOLUTELY NO reason to have a rage quit penalty...you claim its bc it ruins the fun for other 3 players on your team? bwahahah i'd rather have a bot than someone who was obviously getting beat up the entire match...If you could just fix it so the game doesnt crash when someone quits then there is no reason for a penalty but since you simply cannot, that is the ONLY reason why you put this penalty in the game....Prove me wrong UBISOFT...lol thats right...you can't
I knew from the moment ppl started crying for this penalty, that this would be the result...ppl getting the penalty for disconnects...even though you(ubisoft) claimed ohhh nooo it will only be applied to those who quit through the menu....you're liars ubisoft, flat out blatant liars
I've said it before, but I'll say it again here.
IMO the leave penalty has come at a perfect time. Because Ubi can tell the difference between a leaver and someone who disconnects now, they are going to see what is causing all of these connection issues/drop outs, and will be able to make a stability patch.
I've seen a lot of comments from devs that say stability is still a major focus, they know it's an issue. I don't believe they are just ignoring it. The leaver penalty will be appreciated in the long run, and I urge that we all just be patient and hopefully in a few weeks we get some news about a stability patch coming. I've been disconnected more times than I can count, but the devs have said they are in for the long run here, which does mean that one day soon things will improve.
