I'd love to see assassin's creed black flag, without the assassin's creed aspect. I don't want to worry about abstergo or the animus.

    • I would like to strike down whoever I feel deserves it.
    • I want to participate in bar brawls.
    • I want to discover and explore islands.
    • I want to uncover maps from the occasional NPC / Player and go on a hunt to recover treasure or items of significance.
    • I want to use a diving bell to recover treasure (a stretch, I know).
    • I want to trade illicit goods (smuggle).
    • But most of all I want an avatar that can move around on land, to explore the islands, towns, bars, brothels, trade, plunder, and work with other pirates to target the colonies.
p.s. I want to see Nassau

I love the game play of the ship mechanics, but you need some type of persistence. The ability to build and customize a ship. Ship to Ship combat and boarding etc... was a huge part of the experience. That has to be part of the game. I really don't care if there are any land based activities. But, you need sword fighting and boarding with ship to ship combat.
this game needs land action, too...not just ships and cannons or just sea action! and not only action-focused but also a story and all that..just like black flag lol

    Please have walking!

I'm just going to lay it out, this game doesn't HAVE to be Black Flag 2- I don't expect the extreme levels of Parkour or Assassination moves, blowpipes, Eagle Vision or such.
But seriously, the foot combat was so fun, and honestly so true of Pirates, and was the icing on the cake for most of the sea-based combat situations in the game where your crew switches to foot-soldiering.

1- Piracy primarily involves boarding and taking over enemy ships- which was a process entirely boiled down to infantry combat (using either firearms or diverse hand-to-hand weaponry). Marines were invented specifically for this purpose-- basically sea-based infantry. Having the ability to step away from the wheel of the ship and either man swivel guns or your own personal weapons and jump into the fray would be exciting- maybe have 'objectives' that you can fight for on either side. Certainly you could coordinate your crew to certain locations at the wheel, but it would be so much more exciting if you could do this on foot!

2- Plenty of Pirates DID raid land-based targets- apparently the term "Buccaneer" gradually evolved to describe pirates that raided the shores. Not to mention it means fort-combat makes a comeback as a two-part process (destroy defenses with ship, then raid). Plus, it's fun to run amok in towns and establishments and lead a giant fighting force into the bowels of your objective than stand back at the wheel to eventually see if your crew pulls it off.

3- Getting boarded by enemies. Captain remains behind the wheel and gives orders, hoping for the best, vs captain whips out deadly arms and fights. It also means you can bring huge, tough guys that beat my crewmen silly, but *I* would be forced to take on with cunning footwork and swordplay. Which is awesome. Also, it means so many more potential customizations to the ship.... barriers for crew to shoot behind, variable types of swivel-guns, or traps, perhaps?

4- Being able to explore my own ship up close.

5- Treasure maps, diving in wreckage, visiting towns and ports to sell the plunder... possibly an opportunity for sneaky, underhanded tricks against players who also are docked there, or do sneaky deals with shipping companies, or public officials, etc.

At the moment I'm keeping a close eye on this game and it looks great from the features it HAS Shown so far....
BUT- if it was revealed you could walk, I would pre-order it without hesitation (especially with the features I mentioned).

I totally agree man! I hope the hideout wont be the ONLY place you can walk around in....every island should be explorable and it also needs sword and gun combat (sword and gun combat in the boarding, too) and underwater diving

Yes, for me the game is not displayed as Black Flag 2, and he is right, we can not be disappointed that there is no phase on land concrete because it is not the purpose of this game, the one is mostly a naval action game, and I prefer that he work hard rather than neglecting it to try to make the avators playable evening.

Or what? Not everyone is going to agree with you, maybe when you reach adulthood you will realize people disagree, you won't always get your way.

You have still yet to prove the majority wants the changes you do, just some comments on a couple websites.

Get some real market research behind you, then maybe you have a argument.

    Or simply play another game.

We love to hear your opinions and feedback for Skull & Bones, but please keep the discussions civilised.

Our focus in the game are on the exciting adventures that happens at the helm of your ship, and as such the exploration at sea is the primary focus in Skull & Bones.

I have, seen comments that are both for and against ship only combat. You may find ship only combat boring, but not everyone does. There are plenty of successful games that have vehicle only combat.

Neither you or I has any really idea of the percentage of the potential base those comments represent. Typically it's less than a percent of people interested.
