The trailer is cool, the walkthough demo is awesome, that for sure. But the US again? Well that's disappointing for sure. I like what you're done, but to see the US all over again, I don't think so. If you add always online to that, then I'm definitely out. We've been racing in the US for years now, some place else would have been so nice.... preferred..... better.... awesome. Now you've got something awesome in the same old, shame. The Crew is now in danger that so many modern AAA games are in..... an expansion of the same old. I'm still going to keep my eye on it, as soon as I hear always online in combination with US all over again, I'm gone and will spent my €60 on (a) different game(s) that takes me to new places and allows me to avoid connecting to servers and escape others that are out to ruin my gameplay.
According to the gameplay demo, it has a redesigned, larger and better US therefore I don't see the problem. US is the most varied and beautiful place for races, look how dull is Forza's Australia. And Europe...that would be very boring. I agree that we need to play offline too.
Europe boring? My goodness you must have never visited the place at all. I've been to a lot of the US and sure it's nice, but taking a roadtrip through Europe, that is awesome. Way more varied and way better racing roads then anywhere in the states. Glad you agree with offline play though, I'm tired of forced online play in the Crew or other games. There always seems to be someone out there that wants to ruin my 3-4 hours of gameplay each week. Stopped playing online, if a game doesn't offer offline/solo gameplay, I'm not buying anymore.Originally Posted by Hawkstery Go to original post
Did they actually say that (and if, where)? If so I´ve completely missed it.Originally Posted by Hawkstery Go to original post
I agree that I opened the trailer and was immediately disappointed by the fact that this was set in America once again, We have been racing around in America since 2013 with The Crew, I for one am so ******* sick of the place, the map and everything about it, It's boring as ****, the cities are boring the general layout is just grid formation. We begged you, we asked you for some place new, ANY ****ING PLACE would of been better than repeating the process doing it in America.. Even if the map is 5x bigger it won't help, we've played it to death, I don't live in America and I can tell where I am in the map and I hate that fact, it's not cool, it's not nostalgic, it's not ' oh look I am in san francisco COOL ".
What do you expect us to do in this new map that we haven't already? Go see the sites? You mean the ones we've had 4 years to look at already?! FFS I was really looking forward to this game and it has become an instant dismissal for me, The Crew has become so boring and tiring, it really needed a fresh new map.. Christ I would of taken Russia ffs, driving around in nothing but Snow over driving around bloody ****ing new york AGAIN... An you're not the first game to do America.
Full size Japan would have been absoloutely sick, Europe could of been alot of fun if we could of travelled between countries, Australia would have been fkn amazing if you beat Forza's **** map and made it bigger. Literally any country in the world would have been more entertaining, more captivating and certainly more interesting than this.
I am so severely disappointed with The Crew 2 already it's heartbreaking, I don't care for the new addition of boats and planes because I know they will only serve to lower the car list AGAIN, and instead of getting constant updates with more cars etc, you spent the last 2 years working on yet another carbon copy of the first game with some added boats and planes.
The walkthrough trailer clearly shows that you're still clueless to the bugs and problems with the first game and you're already repeating the issue once again, I started the walkthrough trailer and instantly I notice the headlights or LACK OF STILL, for christ sake, why are you so terrible at noticing your own flaws and mistakes?! So there is bug one, same bug from game one..

At 6:03, he says "more than 2000 sq miles". Somehow, last night I heard 10 thousand. Apparently I was too hyped for it.
Therefore, the map won't be huge compared to TC1, which is almost 2000 sq miles too. But it's a redesigned map.
That makes it worse, I'm fine with 5 times larger, but just as big as now is too small for a plane.Originally Posted by Hawkstery Go to original post
New game, I don't see why everything can't be new. New cars and new location. Don't expect to many new cars though, I'm sure there will be plenty of the same suspects again. More detail is nice, but not in a new game, that should give us new places to explore. More details are for an update.Originally Posted by BlackLotusLV Go to original post
At one point in The Crew 2 gameplay trailer, right before it shows the airplane gameplay over central park, you get a glimpse of the world map over the eastern US. I noticed that New York City is very much changed and detailed. But I looked at where Nashville is and the area around it and it is the exact same road layout. I haven`t seen the rest of the map yet, but I do NOT want to have to take the same routes as if i'm driving from city to city and have to see the same landscape (No Appeal after driving same route for 50 times over 2 years). I'm hoping that every town, mountain range, highway, etc. of the map is redesigned and made to be accurate to the real US. The map is said to be 5 times larger, so surely they can add way more (as many as possible) towns, roads, landforms to see and bring players back to the game without getting bored of the map.
I do agree that there needs to be an offline mode. One time, no one could play the game because Ubisoft servers were down. And as I've drove cross-country, some random players would ram me off the road for no reason.
