Hello gearheads!
We would like to invite you to The Crew Community Discord, where you can find other people to play The Crew games with, as well as discuss new and old features of the games, share your opinions on the latest changes, get the latest news regarding the crew games(Patch notes, news posts, Content creator stream notifications), and even just talk about random every day topics.
Why join?
We offer specific channels to find people specific to your platform, you will see the "Looking For Crew" channel after selecting in the roles-selector on what you play, so it is easier for you to find people who are on the same platform(PC, Xbox, PlayStation).
We also have dedicated channels for sharing screenshots, videos, pro-settings and liveries. And we are working with https://thecrew-exchange.com/ so if you link your discord account to TCE, any pictures posted in the photo mode channels, will automatically be uploaded to TheCrew-Exchange.
Besides those, we have general chat channels, that are divided by Language. Currently there is - English, French, German, Dutch, Swedish, Russian and Latvian - text channels, as well as voice channels for said languages, which can be accessed when you are given the language role by someone who already has this role.
We try our best to inform everyone about the latest news that happen regarding The Crew franchise. We tend to host events, that sometimes even have in game rewards, and some that are purely made for fun. Example being our weekly PvP event that we do every Saturday, where we pick random cars(TC1 summit PVP style) and just have mindless fun. We also try to inform people about free games that are available on stores, which would otherwise have to be paid for to play.
How to Join?
You can join the server by either visiting this link https://discord.gg/thecrew or by pressing the + button on discord, and select "Join a Server" button and then writing "thecrew" in the text box.
Dont know what Discord is?
Discord is a text and voice chat application, like TeamSpeak and Skype put together. You can make your own server, or join someone else server, or simply create a group chat with up to 10 friends. You can visit their site to check out more about Discord: https://discordapp.com

See you on the roads, and water, and in the sky... wow this game offers diversity.
I'm afraid it will be offtop but I think I'll write it here anyway.
I don't use voice chat in-game, but i like radio. Would be nice to have castom radio in-game but idk how to implement it, so it's just an idea.
To use transmition from discord to in-game radio where some experienced (and not only) players would have discussions, talk about game ... in-game news about events (maybe even weather, talk with some of CMs, devs and ofcourse some music.
If it's sick idea or too much offtop, just delete this post.
So like a plug-in to a Discord vocal chat room?
That's a really cool idea, but I'm not sure how that work (then again I'm not a programmer). You'd need to link your Discord account to your game account for one thing, and I guess there would be licensing hurdles.
I'll definitely pass the idea on though!

Maybe some other programm. I mean, not exactly Discord. And maybe even not live streaming. Some interviews and talks maybe recorded in Discord and added later in game radio.Originally Posted by Ubi-Gaidheal Go to original post

I think a podcast would be a great thing to have. If not every week then every 2 weeks, get a developer or someone from Ubi related to the game, and someone active within the community, and just talk about the game, and bring up more ideas, or simply whats the plan for the future. Like more transparency with the players and devs.
Also i've seen some games(I do not recall which ones) use discord as their voice chat. Like if you join in a party, and have discord open, it will put you in a group chat. But i hope this kind of thing wont be necessary to do, if the in game voice chat works better than in the first game.
