Alright then... I am lying then. My subjective experience is based on a lie. I hope you're happy now and can enjoy your game more, because I didn't want to hinder your gaming experience. I was simply stating mine, which aparently is based on a lie.
And there were never complaints about old gear being rendered useless after each update... that's just imaginary and a lie as well. All good.

Maybe lying was too strong of a word as your clearly offended, but how do you think we managed to get new gear? By doing new content with old gear. So we were all in the same boat.

I would say that the whole need of "best gear to complete the hardest content" came from bad players and/or players within a bad team/solo players.

When challenging FL came out we did it in 192/214 gear, surely after cca 10-20 fails, but after figuring it out, we completed it at 90% success rate.

Same with 1.5 and 1.6...everything was doable in old gear with just a little effort. Even soloing challenging missions with occasional fail.

Its just a big excuse for bad players and players who refuse to put some effort into their gameplay.

To the OP: definitely go for it...gold edition and you will have tons of fun with occasional setback in bugs etc, but well worth it. Its nowhere near that bad as some are saying here.

Not offended, mate, and clearly you all missed the most important word in all my posts: this time capital, so no one misses it. SUBJECTIVE.
Calling the subjective experience of someone a lie, or stating he was a bad player (when my starting post already states that my builds were not the meta builds, just fun builds), points out the obvious problem with the Division community. There are liers, bad players, and the ones who know the truth. There is clearly no room for your own, subjective experience (which every game, and even everything in life is).
You all were able to refarm new gear with the old, meta gear... now let me spill it in a way, that no one (hopefully) misunderstands. The fun builds, which used to work, were rendered useless and impossible to play with, so you had to refarm. So I had to put old meta gear, which I had, to refarm new fun gear, which I didn't have anymore.
Actually... forget it. I don't know why I am trying to explain it, when it's clear nothing has changed in the community.
Again, guys, in prior post I mention, that I am very happy for you guys, and I still am... and you just confirmed why I stopped playing.
