Hey, I've just recently gotten the craving for buying The Division and all its DLCs but I am unsure of its state - how many players are playing, is it enough to go around? How is the connectivity? Is there anything a completely new player should know if he'd get the game right now? Or is it too late to join (in terms of too steep learning curve)?
I've pre-ordered For Honor Gold Edition but I started playing it just 2 or 3 weeks ago, lol, and I find multiplayer to be far too difficult for a newcomer. Having to learn the game by playing againts bots has no real purpose so it all comes down to having get demolished really badly by players and just use that to learn the game. Is it the same for The Division? Are only the hardcore players left, making it difficult for new players to "accommodate" in the game?
Thanks!
edit: I might've asked a similiar question regarding the game's state over half a year ago but right now, after going through the For Honor hell, I became more confident
edit2: I've gotten my questions answered.
If you enjoy pve and pvp there's plenty to keep you busy. Trick is to just mix it up abit so it doesn't get too repetitive, also if you get squaded up with some players you think are decent send them a fr as most are willing to help out new players.Originally Posted by Reinborn Go to original post
Thanks for the input everyone! Just one more question; does buying Season Pass get me all the DLCs there are? Or will I have to buy them seperately, one by one (meaning those DLCs that obtain costumes and such). I really want to have all the content available so will buying the game and Season Pass suffice?
Have to say, seems like there is really A TON of downloadable and additional content so I'd really appreciate clearing this last thing out.
The current state of the game is okay. It could be better. The endgame has a lot of issues. There are bugs from launch that are still plaguing the game. Connectivity is a known issue with the game. There are a lot of latency issues. The best part of the game is the story. The level 1-30 progression is fantastic. The game caters to casuals, so you will able to gear up fast. The gameplay doesn't require skill. The current state of the pvp is trash though. If you going to get the gold edition, it does content the season pass which gets you all of the paid dlcs. Just a heads up, undergound dlc has issues and survival dlc has matchmaking issues due to the declining playerbase. Last stand dlc is pretty active for players looking for pvp. I believe there is sale for gold edition for $36 on uplay. Its a good deal. There is more content coming that will add modifiers that will make the gameplay even easier and more fun for casuals.
That's a lot of important info, mostly things I really wanted to know, thanks! Also, I too noticed the Uplay sale on The Division recently but sadly, I cannot buy it because Uplay does not support my preferable payment method in my region and I tend to refrain from using credit cards online but that's no issue in the end.Originally Posted by Demiz3r Go to original post
Since I don't play the game and don't follow it or its status, reading patch notes will hardly give me any viable information due to not being familiar with the game at all. But it'll be definitely another 2 or 3 weeks before I buy the game so I'll keep an eye on the game in the meantime.Originally Posted by HeliBrewer Go to original post
