Why do some people say the game is dead? | Forums

I play on pc and find it interesting that a supposedly "dead game" is seeing a surge in player count enough to full all game modes now. It's also very strange that a dread game would release a second round of dlc a year and a half after release. XD

PC player here as well.
The "gem iz ded"-threads started to appear only a few days after launch I believe. Some of them may be from players who honestly believe that the game is going down the drain. However, by looking at what is written in them, and the counter-arguments, I've come to the conclusion that the majority are written by people who hate either Ubisoft in general (posting negative propaganda in hopes of scaring people away) or FH in particular (got killed by dood online, broken game is dying, btw plz nerf).
Many are citing the player count from steam, which are not only not representative of the entire playerbase, but also due to an update which set player profiles to private, potentially not even accurate for steam players any more.

It is fun to see these older threads. It just shows how wrong there people are.

i live in Moldova, poorest country in Europe as u may not know, my main country language is Romanian..so i shoud get the english version of the game like our Romanian
neighbours do..but guess what, i get the fking stupid russian locked version of the game..
This is one more reason for me to suicide, it wasn't enough that i will have no future in my life.

The fact that this thread is from 2017, proves it's not dead. As far as PC player base goes, with so many good games to choose from on PC, even the smallest issue makes PC players flake out pretty fast.

I'm talking from experience, I have a pretty good gaming PC and thats what I used to do. Steam has cheap games, lots in beta and alpha you can play, it's not hard to find a different game you like every week.

Oi, I'm about to quit this game tho. I got ubisoft problems... My R6 is broken pooping up stuff all the time tried alot of stuff dosen't work and also tried to get help from forum. But now in for Honor I got issues, that pause/ESC buttom filter is pooping up all the time in For Honor I tried to restart not working. It were some before with leaderboard pooping up but it werent that such problem. ESC problem and my character stop moving.

I love this game. Just wish it was a little more balanced but maybe I just suck lol.

This game is not dead, is it frustrating at times?, you better believe it, will it make you rage quit?, throw your controller across the room?, oh yea, but..... there is nothing else like it that I'm aware of, you want twitch shooters there's a million of them, you want to be a Viking fighting a samurai there's no where else to go except right here, its unique


it drives me around the bend sometimes but all in all I love this game, sure take a break but you will be back, Ubi talked the talk about staying the course with FH and you know what they walked the walk, its been a good 18 months after release and there about to add another faction, they're committed as far as I can see and it makes me committed too, this is a maddening game but it is amazing too,
