The "soon™" is getting old, we need solid news on the meta patch....

When is meta patch? Your dwindling community needs absolutes, not "sometime soon xD." Also, "During season 2 brah!" is not a real answer. Start coughing up dates or gtfo.

And they'll release a date, then something pushes them back, and people will get angry at them for not delivering on said date.

There is no soon. I fully expect even the Warrior's Den to stop being a thing in the next month or so to allow them to "focus on development".

They're just baiting people along, trying to wring out as much cash as they can.

You really think defensive meta patch will fix anything?

They are going to *fix* it by making OOS more dangerous... It will make feints and getting parried even more riskier, meaning WAAAAY more turtling. They are completely detached from the game, they dont have the slightest clue about how game actually plays..

I've got a pretty strong feeling that you won't be seeing any defensive meta patch until Season 3. Why? Because they probably want it to be "the big thing" about Season 3. Kinda like how the Gear Stats revamp was for Season 2, even though that turned out to be a complete failure.

    They probably are...

Since the investors already made their money, Ubisoft is only coaxing us along for the lulz.

I'm simply hoping they'll add chip damage and remove the free gb out of parry.

Never said it would be an absolute, since p2p still exists, lul ex dee, but anything is better than the "I WILL NEVER EVER ATTACK FIRST, EVER!" meta.

I'm not sure if chip dmg would be so great considering classes that can spam attacks vs those that can not. At least not without rebuilding how each class actually attack or make it so chip damage will depend on frequency of the attacks (dps).

Yeap. It's become a sort of a meme at this point and so has "It's working as intended", "P2P is better", "git gud", "just dodge" etc. Welp i didn't manage to git gud. After today's disappointing gaming session filled with lag and finishing only 3 games in 4 hours,I'm shelving the game.
It was fun trollin' the forums with you guys. Definitely better than playing the game. Take care and see you again in Season 3.

Chip damage might turn 4v4 modes into complete clusterfck. OTOH they already are, so not a big deal...
I wonder is it possible to test these upcoming anti turtle changes on the new shiny PTR we will be testing ranked at.
