I main Valkyrie on PC and I really have a hard time against turtles who either parry every light attack and ignore heavy feints.
The thing is i play Valk aggressively and it works in the first 2 rounds playing with someone most of the time, but people are so desperate in winning
they start to close up and wait for light attacks or something punishable.
so i have to start whiffing attacks(unlock whiffs) or i try to spam the sweep and guardbreak mixup which is no fun at all for both sides.
Also the sweep is punishable with a guardbreak, aswell as all the dash lights and the shield bash.
now the problem is Valk is a real handful on console thought so buffing her in some way would be really unfair
i think the only thing valk really needs on pc is a faster access to her light heavy mixups, so that you are not forced to
get either 2 lights or a shield bash into light (ofcourse not a faster way to get the sweep)
but i gues somethinlike this would not be possible
dont get me wrong i'm not losing alot of matches , but spamming the same thing over and over is so boring

The defense meta fix is still planned to be released during Season 2. Hopefully we'll have more specific information to share in the near future.Originally Posted by Eldrix47 Go to original post
I wonder how much pure, unadulterated hate this "fix" is going to cause. Considering we don't know the intended changes its hard to predict, but no matter what it is it's changing the fundamental mechanics of the game. After several months we're all used to playing the game as is, even a minor change in mechanics is going to be huge.Originally Posted by UbiJurassic Go to original post
i always tought the fix was quit simple . faster recovery from parry it wont change much the mechanic of the game we actually know people will just play a lot more wiser and the parry will still be a good toolOriginally Posted by bmason1000 Go to original post
Some of the ideas thrown out by Roman a few weeks ago were making parries less rewarding, making the OOS state more dangerous and to introduce a way for players on the offensive to open up turtles without the use of fainting or guardbreak. Again, this was a number of weeks ago and it's very possible that these proposed changes have been altered or perhaps even shelved in favor of a different approach.Originally Posted by bmason1000 Go to original post
This is really so ridiculous. I pointed that out before and you ignored it. Making OOS more punishable does NOT fix defense meta, it does the opposite and reinforces it in a game where only offender loses stamina!!Originally Posted by UbiJurassic Go to original post
