    Locked Animations (Discussion please) ??

    Hey all, I caught this reddit discussion on the For Honor page, and wanted to see if it was discussed here.

    I for one hope the direction of this game does not lead into extreme locked animations. Yes, we know the Shugoki's and LB'ers locked animations can be abused (so can others). But those two Hero's abilities come with great risk. I feel like the new DLC Heroes don't have as high of risk vs reward, plus their animations lock you in without interruption for 5 to 7 seconds (Cent's pin combo and Shinboi's kneeling locked animation). When you can't defend yourself (for 5 to 7 seconds) or have an ally come interrupt the lock, I feel like that needs to be addressed.

    I feel this will extremely slow the game and combat down if the developers continue to go down this path. I would rather have a faster fight than have a ton of these style abilities implemented.

    Put more combo mix-ups in, more movesets and less of these please.

    Share your thoughts, hopefully the developers will take a peak at this.

    In 1v1 it doesn't bother me. They aren't super long and having both characters locked into the animation gives neither an advantage.

    In group battles it's essentially hard cc and a massive design oversight that needs addressing because it's ruining the game.

    I agree, and my main point would be that it really slows down the combat. There is no fluidity to those types of moves.

    Definitely an oversight for the group matches...1v1 isn't as big of an issue. This runs into the problem that if it's balanced in 1v1 it doesn't mean it is in group situations. I think they're struggling with group type balance.

    Every hero who has something like this, should take 100% friendly fire.

    Like shinobi, shugoki, raider, or centurion (only while the he does the knock down move (don't know the names of those attacks), or pins you down with the stab) so every kind of real CC

    Or maybe in a GB aswell.... but about this i am not sure, this one doesn't take so long, and after you got hit you are free from the lock, so GB i think, isn't a real problem.

    That's a good idea for the Locks (100% friendly fire)...I don't think GB is as big of an issue...I'm mainly really wanting them to look at the animations that are like a movie and your character can't do anything to get out (or allies can't assist with getting you out).
