Judging from what I've seen the community, nobody knows what they are talking about. The game isn't dead yet, but it's getting there. Without some major changes and another DLC to give people another reason to try it again, For Honor will die out. It's already declined from the Season 2 peak.

PvAI is still fun. Not great fun but its ok.

MP however, is a toxic sinkhole.

Since this game is primarily a MP game, I dare say, that it does already smell funny.

The AI is too predictable to be fun to play against. I'm not sure how people find it fun.

Nah it is not dead...



But it is absolutely not alive, nor getting better by any means.
We will see if defensive meta patch does anything at all. But even if it does it wont bring back players, only help maintain what's left a bit more.

I've never understood the appeal either, but a lot of games have thriving comp stomp communities.

Well, judging by what I think the people are saying, you're right in that most people don't know what they are talking about... and the only way to "revive" numbers is basically pandering to people who are clueless and massively dumbing the game down so it's no more a "fighting game". but rather a nice hack&slash action game that allows you stuff like 16 hit combos and hyper button mashing, and there's no real process of refined "combat" to worry about "balance."

Have you ever heard the saying "each to their own"?

I prefer the AI and an fight with actual combos over spamming lemming trains and ****-talking pseudo-adults.

The game is 3 bad patches away from becoming the next Evolve. They need to fix **** in the next 3 patches or they lose everyone. Its as simple as that.

Well i think 3 is a big number. If the fail to address the defense-meta in a decent way on 1.09 well goodbye for honor.
