What is the point of the Shinobi "Super Sprint"???

I have now noticed MULTIPLE times that not only is the speed boost small AT BEST he can't hold it for long without having to stop.

Shinobi beat my Beserker to the objective at the start of the match by maybe 6 feet.

That seems essentially useless to me.

I've always wondered about it too. Even with max stamina cost reduction, he can still barely maintain his Super Sprint for a decent amount of time. And the speed increase it gives him, feels less than if we were to have the removed Sprint Speed stat maxed. I've also been hit by a few leaping attacks when trying to run away with Super Sprint as well. That being said, I don't think it will ever get buffed because most people will cry that he they can't catch him or whatever, or that he's too fast. Not to mention it's Shinobi we're talking about it. I don't know if you've noticed, but anytime something concerning Shinobi is brought up, it will almost immediately always be downvoted, even on the Competitive subreddit. Well, all those players finally got their wish. I don't like fighting Shinobi either, but after he gets nerfed, he's going to be dead asf. At least Conqueror will have some company now.

See thats what I am saying lol

Glad to see I am not crazy. To me the "Super Sprint" is essentially useless.

I cannot for the life of me see when it could be useful.

My theory is that they thought it'd be amazingly "cool" and very "Ninja'y" so they put it in. Now to the second part of the theory...this is one of the reasons they removed the speed stat from gear...so the Shinobi would be more "unique".

I have 3 problems with that move

    1) It knocks down teammates as well as enemies so idiots can screw teammates over by accident

    2) Its seems very hit or miss like the Raider tackle was in the beginning.

    3) The slide should ACCELERATE YOU so you can catch running enemies. As it stands the slide is either the same or essentially the same as the sprint speed

You could say, that the move is highly situational and you need very good timing to use it.

Its better this way, than the first version of the oni charge. That thing was broken as ****.

If one would modify the move so it only knocks down enemies, it would become an op no-brainer.

The Shinobi's sprint run is a situational move at best. I'm not much of a Shinobi player, but it could be used to quickly put some distance between you and your opponent when you notice their team rolling up to gank or perhaps quickly reposition to take advantage of your ranged attacks.
