Hey people!
So, when you're playing dominion it often ends up with one person fighting two or more. Usually that person loses but in the meantime they take up the attention of those two or more enemies. This frees up your team-mates to capture points and outnumber the other members of the enemy team. However, for your valiant sacrifice, holding off these enemies, you don't get any points. Despite how important it is to the game.
I propose they introduce gaining renown and points for holding off more than one enemy. Not points that contribute to the overall score of your team because that would change the game. Just points that reflect your part in the fight on the scoreboard. You could do this per dodged/blocked/ parried attack and hit or you could simply have points added every second, like when boosting or contesting a zone.
Please let me know your thoughts.![]()
I see too much of an abuse with that. What's to stop from just endlessly running upto superior enemies in suicidal attacks and getting huge chunks of renown early in the match to unlock all 4 tiers of feats much faster than everyone else?Originally Posted by CaynAldan Go to original post
Well it'd be small amounts of renown rather than big chunks. I was thinking about the same as boosting a zone for fighting against 2 people. In other words, 1 renown per second for every additional enemy over 1. So fighting all 4 of the enemy team would be the equivalent of contesting a zone.Originally Posted by kweassa1 Go to original post
I don't think it would be easy to abuse since you would actually have to survive against those enemies for about 20-30 seconds before you earned more points than they did for killing you.
