Currently, i posted about the deflect bug that happens to Berserker.
Ubi tried to fix it, the easiest way the could, they just speeded up the GB after the deflect.
But the easierst way isn't always the best way!!!
But i do have an problem with this Deflect, and many other players aswell.
So i thought about a solution how to rework the deflect.
Berserker Deflect Rework suggestion
1. Remove the GB
2.1. After a Deflect add the Animation of the Forward throw from the GB, as an unblockable opner (like shoulderbash, shieldbash etc) - so the push just replaces the GB
EDIT:
2.2. The GB animation will be replaced by a quickthrow (so you have still a short window in the moment of the deflect to choose the direction)
3. The unblockable push has the same initiation speed like the current deflect ,will drain stamina, make 8 dmg (same like GB throws)
4. If you push your enemy with the deflect, and he gets OOS he will be knocked down (same like valks throws)
5. The push counts as an light attack, that means a combo starter, so you can chain a safe heavy after the push -> The chained heavy is fast than the basic heavy but deals less dmg.
5. You can only push forward, but if you push someone into a wall you can chain a combofinisher into it instead a side heavy.
6. After the push, you can also choose to dodge to the side and hit with a spinchop - this would give berserker a way to change the position after a deflect.
Safe DMG outputs: Edit: Possible dmg alternatives
1. Just the push = 8 dmg / 5 dmg
2. Push + Heavy = 8 / 5 dmg + 20 dmg = 28/ 25 dmg
3. Push against a wall + combo finisher = 8/ 5 dmg + 55 dmg = 63/ 60 dmg
4. If a push drains the stamina to zero, enemy will be knocked down -> means OOS Punish: 8/ 5 dmg + 20 + 55 = 83/ 80 dmg
5. Spinchop after push = 8 + 17 = 25/ 22 Dmg
So basicly Berserkers deflect will be much fast, or let's say you don't stuck in that long deflect + GB animation.
You can dodge, parry or block after the push. Berserker normal deflect doesn't reward with a GB anymore.
This deflect rework would do a huge change, it would give the berserker more Option, give his deflect a tactiacal focus (walls, OOS) and would balance the reward.
I play all assassins, and it doesn't matter if it is automaticly or not in terms of easy or not. If you learn the deflect of an assassin you will be doing it.Originally Posted by Blasto95 Go to original post
It's not about having the best deflect move, it is about having a usefull deflect move, Shiobis is usefull in any mode against any amount of enemies, Orochis aswell, PKs too, berserkers most of the time in 1v1s...
As a berserker in any gamemode (except duells), you know how annoying it is if you are ganked, you wanna dodge out but accidentely doing a deflect and stuck in this shi-t?
I don't think that the GB is OP, i think that it is annoying and much to unsafe because it takes so long in compare to the other deflects (except in duells).
Also i want to get rid of this damn deflect bug.
Like I said, dont let GB trigger automatically and it becomes much safer to deflect with him. Give him a quick free Light attack like orochi has so theres at least some reward if you need a quick maneuver with him.
But people deflect on accident all the time. Granted the top 7% wont be except on possibly very rare occasions, but plenty of other skill levels have people dodging all over the place. And some people just dont time the action right. Zerker does not need to worry about that, because if he deflects its free.
Also why is a Zerker dodging around in an unsafe 4v4 situation rather than sitting back and blocking/parrying? Youre talking like a Zerker is deflecting one attack and just completely ignoring the face 2 other people are throwing attacks at him. In that scenario a Zerker is just not going to deflect. Neither is an Orochi or PK most likely as it does not turn into some universal deflect and theyre left vulnerable as well.

Also in a 4v4 it can happen very fast that while you fight other opponents come to bash you.
And there are attacks you can't block or parry, so sometimes you need to dodge.
If you deflecting with a berserker you are much unsafer than with other deflects in a 4v4 game mode.
I personly don't think that the GB is optimal for a deflect follow, i would prefer to directly jump to the chest push as an unblockable (like i suggested)
And also, this is a suggestion, an idea it would be nice if the Devs would take a look into it and think about it.
