also Uplay works best if you install it to the same drive as Windows
and yes you can choose to install your games on any other driver or location ..please read the on screen prompts when installing your game to pick the location you want the game installed to .. but yes Keep the Uplay launcher on the same drive as windows seems to work best
\and ALWAYS launch Uplay as Run as Administrator ..so it can create your save files ..as they write to a program files location that many windows operating systems Protect.. as a default windows setting

one other point are you using VPN ? check all your settings over in Uplay disable any vpn settings as well as disable use proxy
,make sure you have only one network connection for the game to use .. i already posted the page about the ports but there is one also for FC 4 that covers the ports FC 4 needs open

again i use cable for my connection and yes i did have to check my internal settings in my comcast cable modem and relax a few security settings as they were set pretty high by default .. also check any software that has a firewall including Windows firewall..yes thats includes any antivirus program you may be running
again please by all means contact UBI SUPPORT FOR YOUR REGION IF YOU CONTINUE TO HAVE A PROBLEM
THEY ARE THERE TO HELP ... and yes ppl say they have problems getting thru .. i never had a single problem with getting in touch via twitter or even e mail support
and i have been supporting FC 4 since the day it shipped via the community
they do not give out personal support on the forums here
and you will need to supply them with a few things and info about your setup and all ..that can be found in the general Uplay support forums on this same site
