AFK farming continues to be an issue in FH, but another all too common problem among the community is the apparent inability to tell the difference between an AFK farmer and someone who is actively playing the game, just in a manner that you don't typically see the majority of players playing. So, I'm going to break down the game modes and what qualifies as AFK farming, and what doesn't.

Duel AFK Farming:
Is: Anyone who is just standing there making no effort to fight, running in small quick circles, or who simply spams light or heavy attacks, in or out of guard, until they exhaust all stamina, and keep spamming the exhausted attack until they hit a wall, ledge, or die.
Isnt: Pretty much anything and everything else.

Brawl and Elimination AFK Farming:
Is: Anyone just standing there making no effort to fight, running in small quick circles, or who simply spams light or heavy attacks, in or out of guard, until they exhaust all stamina and keep spamming until they hit a wall, ledge, or die.
Isnt: Anything else. Of further note, someone who stands next to the body of their fallen opponent, be it revivable or permadeath. These people are either intelligent enough to remain next to and guard the body of a foe who can be revived, or decent enough to allow you to fight your own battle without interfering to "help" you.

Skirmish AFK Farming:
Is: Anyone just standing around making no effort to fight (either at the spawn point of in a corner of the map), running in small quick circles, or who spams light/heavy attacks until exhausted and continues until they hit a wall, ledge, or get killed.
Isnt: Anything else. Though uncommon, there are individuals who remain next to the bodies of reviveable foes, to guard the fallen and also to set traps for the fallen's allies.

Dominion AFK Farming:
Is: Anyone just standing around making no effort to fight (either at the spawn point of in a corner of the map), running in small quick circles, or who spams light/heavy attacks until exhausted and continues until they hit a wall, ledge, or get killed.
Isnt: Anything else. However, here I would like to bring up the point of what I'm seeing among the community referred to as "zone camping". "Zone camping" is NOT afk farming. Unlike every other mode in the game where the main goal is to kill everything as often and quickly as possible, the goal of Dominion is to capture the three zones and keep them from your opponents, effectively accumulating points for your team toward the 1000 to put the opposing team into break status. There should ALWAYS be at least one person in EVERY zone you are in possession of. Why? Because it increases the points your team earns for owning that zone from 1 point per second (pps) to 2pps, and prevents the enemy from quick capturing to earn points or rally from break status. If it bothers you that someone is just "standing around" in a zone so much that you feel the need to attack them, you're not only an idiot, but you're wasting time that you should be better putting to use capturing/defending the other zone or killing soldiers and opponents on the front lines.

So, by this point, you should have a pretty good idea of what IS and what ISNT AFK farming. To recap, the ways you can spot an AFK farmer incude:
1. Anyone just standing around at a spawn point or somewhere on the map (except in Dominion zones), running in small circles, spamming attacks across the map
2. Anyone with 0's in all of the scorecard columns except deaths, with the exception being anyone who joined the match shortly before the end of it (e.g. joining a Skirmish or Dominion match where the enemy team is near or at breaking, joining a brawl or elimination in round 3).

Pretty straight forward right? So why even make this thread? Because you'd be surprised how many idiots on my team who feel the need to attack me while guarding a dead body or dominion zone and accuse me of either afk farming or not contributing to the match. No, I'm contributing, you're the moron wasting time attacking an ally when you should be moving the match toward close. :P
