First time poster here....
I loaded Frontier today, and it immediately opened up the Local or Server save option.
1. Local was still "recommended"
2. Server side had 50 more gems and 5000 more coins
I chose local, because it's recommended, and wasn't sure about the discrepancy.
So it went through fine, and the next menu that opened was the news alert, which the Post-egg-hunt news that says choose Server side...but that's too late.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Doesn't this seem backwards???
Where do I go with RedLynx to remedy this?

edit: well it seems there's multiple threads and I'm not alone. if anyone has any quick advice, it's appreciated, as I don't want to dig through all the threads.
Well, im in the same situation.
The "choose save" came before i read the info message.
So sure i did choose local save.
This isnt fail proof.

The message needs to be posted before the save option window, but I really believe RL does this on purpose. I'm pretty sure switching the "recommended" description under the save option could easily be moved to the server side each time RL screws up updates/events/prizes and tries to remedy the problem.
Same boat here. Got the Local/Server choice right away so no chance to see the message that I should choose Server. I only play Frontier on one device so in every other situation Local is always the right choice for me.
RL needs to inform people that this will be happening and THEN push out the updated saves, not the other way around.
This is how I gamble with the Server/Local option. If there's recently been a screw up by RL in the game then I will choose the Server because it could fix the problem. If it pops up randomly I usually choose local and let the server grab and save my stats later so they match. This time around I knew I had to choose Server because I visit forums....
I'm in the same boat. Looks like they put the cart before the horse in this situation.
I used the support option within the app to open a ticket. Not holding my breath, but hopefully they will address it.
I'm the member of the team, too... Message about choosing server save didn't even show when I chose phone save, but the next time I logged on. I didn't want to select server side because I was afraid I could corrupt the savegame. And now I have 50 gems less...
