So I open the game on the iPhone and save from server when prompted and still no rabbit hell.

Rabbit hell shouldn't be there because you already overwrited server save with your local save from iPad.

I've already done that twice - chose the server side, but didn't get any reward.

if you choose "device" first that there is no point to choose "server" anymore, because track is already gone from server save. You should ask and wait while RL give you that track again.

Same situation here. Top 3% at the end of the event. Got the prompt to choose device or server well before any message about choosing the server save for the track. Now nothing.

Was prompted for a choice of save location 4 times today - with the same details being shown for both. On the 5th time I noticed the gem count was 50 higher on the server side and picked that one.
