I posted this on reddit, but I didn't get a reply, so I think it hasn't been seen.
This is mostly aimed at the devs.
Usually, Shugoki's Hyper Armor allows him to tank some moves and let their effects do not trigger. Lawbringer's running Heavy or Shugoki's Backbreaker, for example, do not work if the receiving Shugoki's Hyper Armor is activated. This is not specific to these moves. Shugoki's uncharged heavy, Centurion's Kick, Lawbringer's throw or shove, Raider's run... nothing works on Shugoki unless he loses his Hyper Armor.
Now... these 2 new characters... they don't follow the rule. Centurion's charged Heavy and Shionbi's sliding kick completely ignore the Hyper Armor. They don't care at all.
Why are these characters coded differently? Shouldn't these moves work just as the others? Shugoki already has a very poor dodge. Now his Hyper Armor is not really helping him in the MU (and as a consquence, Shugoki fights with lowered def too).
I don't have video footage, but is by no means something specific or rare. It is a common occurrence, with 100% chance of happening if tried.
I don't know if this is intended or not. If it is, why? Shugoki isn't exactly in a good place since he was nerfed.

If you were to compare Oni Charge and the Slide Tackle, Oni charge only hits once per contact and if use against another Shugoki it only breaks hyper armor.
To say that it is fair for a shinobi to hit more than once on the slide, is to say oni charge should hit more than once.
Being able to cheese out Shugoki's hyper armor with the slide tackle and get a few free hits in, is the same as cheesing with Oni Charge knock down and get a free heavy.

Sorry, to disagree but the Slide Tackle is just another broken version of Oni Charge.
Basically, Shinobi inherited Shugoki's Oni Charge.
The slide comes out too fast to even react on close range. Plus you can't stop the shinobi from slide tackling you... so yeah.

Also, you can interrupt the slide with oni charge.
So I've been playing Shugoki to Rep2 now and I have another weird issue with it. If you guard break a tad bit earlier than the opponent, it guarantees their gb without even finishing the gb animation. Like if two people do gb's at the same time, or if you throw a gb when the gb hasn't finished yet, both heroes will just bump to each other and nothing will happen.
What should guarantee the gb is when the gb animation cycle is done. It's a small window and but it's there. I find myself getting guard broken a lot with the Shugoki because of this. It's a different feeling when you know straight up mis-timed it.
Second thing is the headbutt follow up on light attacks, it doesn't work probably 30% of time, a good example would be after the demon's embrace then light follow up. Not to mention it doesn't knock enemies to the wall or ledges like all characters do.
Third, can we change the input controls of demon's embrace, may be a forward dash + gb. You won't believe how many times you'd accidentally do it, so annoying.
Fourth, I have issues with the Shugoki throws coming from a Raider rep 12, I've thrown a hundreds of people through walls. Shugoki throws feel flimsy with only 4 directions, you can't get a good feel of where they are going to land, with the exception of very close proximity or forward/side perpendicularly it would be straight forward. But if you throw at max distance, you want them go exactly where you intend to, throwing to the right feels an accurate 90deg while throwing left has an excess of 20deg. Throwing forward, has an excess of 10-20deg to the right while at the rear is short by 45deg.
Lastly, Oni charge is useless, it needs to be re-worked.
