Shinobi Scorpion (get over here) move:

    Hi all,

I was in a match and I noticed someone grab the Shinobi when he does the chain move and pulled him in. How is this accomplished, is it a guard break, parry? Also, is that move only from one the right side?

    Thank you all in advance.

This is accomplished in different ways depending on what the Shinobi is doing. If the Shinobi is doing a ranged attack, then you will have to parry them to yank their chain and pull them to the ground. If it is a ranged guard break, then you have to counter guard break it, but note that the timing is different than a normal counter guard break and you cannot spam the gb button to counter. Instead you have to wait until the moment the chain lands on you and THEN you press the counter guard break button.

For an extensive guide on the Shinobi, you can check out my Shinobi guide thread on the forums here:

Awesome, ty for the insight. Is the ranged attack always from the same location and that's when he is swining it to throw right? I am having trouble blocking that. When I am beating a Shinobi they run. Cowards.

It's thrown in the direction that his non swinging arm is in. You can notice it moving top, right, or left. Some shinobis will change it really fast to trip you up. Hope that helps.
