Title says it all. I have tried everything and can't get it to work. If I unplug it and plug it back in, I get the 360 icons in the game menu, but the menus do not respond to controller input. I am using Steam Big Picture mode with a custom profile.

I just used my Xbox 360 wireless controller just now without problems, but i got For Honor directly trough Uplay without Steam.

Have you tried to disable the custom profile for the controller? Disabled steam overlay for the game? Disabled big picture mode?

All of the things that raetiacorvus said are pretty great questions. Along with the fact that you can try to verify the files to make sure it is working at 100%!
