One good example of quitting penalties done well is the online game Overwatch. Since the game started there has been penalties for leaving both quick play and competitive, and rarely has there been any complaints from the Overwatch community in regards to this. Why are you so against a basic game mechanic that should have been included when the game first came out, and a basic game mechanic other gaming communities welcome with open arms?
Stop being childish and accept that you're not going to win every single game, and start playing the game how it was intended to be played. Leaving games because you're not going to win is not and will never be an acceptable thing in online gaming.
In a game where you can barely finish 65% of games that you start, in a game with connection errors attributable to the design of the game, where there is no matchmaking based on skill or gear, where the level of equipment is almost determinant, where there is a clear difference of balance between characters, where there are plenty of dirty tricks you can use to win, where you can abuse exploits to win, etc, etc.
In a game like this, does anyone really think it's a good idea to punish ALL those who leave a game?
If that same measure is taken for games of 1vs1 or 2vs2 would not seem bad, but in 4vs4 is stupid.
Rage quit is just one of the many manifestations of the HUGE PROBLEM of this game. While Ubisoft does not worry about solving that problem, nothing is going to change for the better.
What is that big problem? The core of the game: P2P, lack of balance between characters, imput lag, exploits, completely broken movements ...
Sincerely, it seems like a joke to me that having pulled this game for sale in February, in June we continue in this situation.
