    Centurion Jab

I was just wondering if anyone else is experience this issue. I'll be fighting a cent and he will wind up the jab so I will dodge backwards or to the side and the jab still hits me. I will be so far away from his jab when it hits me it looks downright comical. This is the same game where dodging backwards grants "I-frames" if timed correctly even when you are against a wall.

Cents charged attacks, and unblockables have a decent amount of travel and tracking, you have to time the dodge correctly and have to dodge to the left or right to be able to counter with a GB or heavy. if you dodge backwards then make sure you roll backwards so double dodge. His jabs after a heavy comes very quick and require fast reactions to dodge. If your hit with a charged heavy or unblockable the the charged job i think is guaranteed, so make sure to block or parry any charged attacks.

He has telescopic arms, which can have more reach than a Kensei, Lawbringer or even Nobushi.

IMHO it's one of those many 'little' things that add to his overall OPness.

you have to time it - too early and it tracks. many if not all other attacks works like this but it may not be as apparent. it can be difficult to see when the tracking "phase" of a move ends.
basically, you have to find the timing on it. i see people dodging my punches a lot more consistent now.

    They really don't. Nowhere near.

The jab is never dodged when you dodge backwords in my experience. Dodging to the side has always gotten me out of it. if it's still following you when you dodged to the side you're dodging too early.
As far as his jab chasing you across a good bit of distance that's just latency nonsense.
I don't have the post but someone linked in the main area in the past week a lot of examples with base game heros that sticky onto someone and follow them despite the huge distance.

It just looks more noticable with centurion because his attacks are mainly thrust. Where as most other animations in this game are either horizontal or vertical swings.

    It does work but

The dodge does work however the dude needs a nerf if it does connect the punishment on the chain it too much you might aswell put your controller down unless he runs out of stamina because the fight is as good as done! ... (Kensei needs a buff)

Remember that even the worst centurion can choose to not charge, partially charge, or fully charge the jab, which makes it far more difficult to time a dodge against than something that has a guaranteed timing from the start of the move to the actual hit.
