Ubi, will i get a 10 minute penalty for this? | Forums

So i've read the patch notes and you get a 10 minute penalty if you go to quit match but you get a warning beforehand. Now i take that as i won't be penalized when i get disconnected because there won't be any warning that could be showed, obviously.

But what if i get another match like this?




The match starts, i immediatly get a top view of the map and i see players running around from above and enjoying the match while i can't do anything but stare at this screen that i'm showing on the screenshot. When i look at the leaderboard, the slot where i'm supposed to be in is replaced with a Bot. Now after wasting some time staring at my screen, i decided to press start and quit the game.

Here comes my question. So when the new penalty system is active and this happens and i want to quit, i will get a warning screen beforehand and i will get a 10 minute penalty surely? Because i chose to quit here, the game didn't disconnect me so it will be seen as a rage quit.

Sooo on top of the time searching for a team, waiting in the matchmaking screen, finally getting into a game, staring at the game while not being able to do anything, i will also get penalized for 10 minutes. Talk about wasting a lot of time

I'm honestly not sure. But I will make sure to bring up your concerns about this to the team and see if they can address it on the Warrior's Den.

There's always likely to be scenarios and situations that we overlook when we try to implement new solutions - so thank you for letting us know and we'll make sure that these kinds of circumstances are addressed in some way.

and I'll post it here AGAIN.... and again..and again until I get an answer....Why can't you fix it so the game doesnt crash when someone rage quits??? IF you could fix that then ragequitting is no longer a problem

If you get this from the beginning of the game (like you say) you have 30 sec to quite after the start without penalty.
If it really is an emergency -> internet off and on again.

...Or the situation in which people try to play the Team modes as actual team...
No one can tell me that all connection issues will be solves by that and now we don´t even get the chance to regroup with our friends without a penalty? When a rejoin mechanic would be implemented beside the penalty I would understand all that but only that...in the current games state?

Brace yourself, a lot of frustration for teams is coming. I really hope that works out and I worry too much.

Hey that happened to me BUT i could control my character! Was too far away to see him properly, except for the stance indicators. i even had fights lol and did really well for a bit was so odd, had to quit

If a friends get a DC you will need to waste 10 minutes because reasons ? Or you guys gonna wake up and implement rejoin option ?

Just saying. Is just dumb that in 2017 i need to manually create the group every single time.


And what about the amusing bug ? Cannot join try later ? You think you can have this addressed before I die for old age ?

Yeah it is a bug. but it's also rare. I have to see this happening to me only once.

Don't worry. If you are not a usual rage quitter you will not even notice this penalty system.
As for those crying losers who are outraged by the penalty system.... I don't know why I find it satisfying to hear them complain about it.
It's awesome that it is implemented, and it was required

I seriously believe this game is coded by the high school kids from the special needs school. I haven't encounter so many bugs in an end product ever. Even in win98 era. What the ****?!
