Just came back to the game...then quit again

I took a break after playing the game when it was released. I was quite happy until it more or less became impossible to fly around in helicopters without getting shot down by a missile. Then I had enough.
I've been away and the game felt fresh and crisp when I got back today. But now, after failing on a sidemission 4 times after being shot down by missiles, I am quitting again. WTF is wrong with this. How the hell can they see that I am not one of their own, when I just stole one of their helicopters without alerting anyone.
This one thing is what turned me off again now. I am leaving again now. Feels bad man.

I like it... adds challenge to flying around... plus I can dodge most of the missles anyway, no problem.

I personally found that it became a bit too much of a hassle/challenge to dodge the missiles after around Title Update 3.5-4. Especially in a region like Media Luna or one of the others with SAMs everywhere. Like they tweaked the accuracy or something....it used to be somewhat easier to dodge them. Now it can be a complete annoyance.

Yeah, I also had the feeling that they are more accurate lately, but I might have become rusty in dodging them since I prefer going by car or foot. Still nothing that would prevent me from playing the game. Neither are those helicopter nor plane missions mandatory nor that hard to do. Especially since many don't require coming close to SAM sites anyway...

Hey all - I did share along the feedback on this topic. I know it's a bit mixed as some players enjoy the extra challenge, though some find it additionally frustrating and the new flying controls to come could help. Will let you know if I hear any information on this.

There are some regions where its overly populated with SAMS but others not. If you want to avoid them fly directly up till your way high near the cloud line and they wont see you.

The only mission i can think of where you have real problems is the one in Koani where you break into a base and then leave taking the plane. In that one you will never get away without destroying the ground SAMs first. I use a c4 charge on the 3 ground SAMs and jump into the plane and take off and set off the c4 while im in the air and dont get shot down leaving the base. flying low and thru the canyon helps avoid the media luna sams sites. Tough though. Taking off in a copter from a base without blowing up the SAMs sites first wont work well. A grenade launcher can hit them from a rooftop fairly far away.

Well, hopefully, even if they don't fix the SAMs spawning quick, if they do fix the driving/flying like they said they would in the Q&A, then perhaps and just maybe, this could really be fun. I mean, even if I hate flying on a shooter game, I can see how cool the fun factor would be by trying to avoid, or see how many SAMs I can avoid as a personal side missions.

Air to air missle launchers track their targets, but don't respond well to quick movements, or being close to ground. So, learn to avoid them, I do it all the time in both choppers and planes. Aircraft are fun to fly once you figure out how, the only problem is aiming to fire from choppers. If your only issue is getting shot down my missiles then you really didn't want to play in the first place.

I noticed the same thing. Been getting shot down a lot more since the update.
