Loving the game so far. It's brilliant.

Would say a lot of what our group has felt is more mission types in ongoing missions.

More bridges as well. Just hope the game is well supported after launch.

    Keyboard shortchuts

I'm having a lot of fun -- thank you!

I posted this in another thread, but I'd love to see the following added to spice up the single player feel:

I'd love to be able to map AI-controller commands to keyboard keys. Not because I'll use a keyboard, but then I can use a program like Voice Attack to control the AI rather than the interface. Not that the interface is /bad/, but playing the game solo is no where nearly as fun as playing with other people. At least with Voice Attack and keyboard shortcuts for commands -- especially common ones -- you could replicate some of the multi-player feel.

I think implementing more dynamic mission types, or even the same mission types but with slightly different objectives or circumstances.

Eventually, your player base is going to get tired of playing the existing missions, so more will help. A mission editor would even be great - let the community create missions for you.

If you release them as DLC, make them accessible to any Captain who has purchased the DLC, even if the other crew members have not. It might impact sales slightly, but it will also keep your player base from becoming segregated.

I've also posted this in another thread, but I'd love to be able to create my own in-game name that I could be referred to by other players, along with my rank. You could display actual usernames beneat that, so it could look something like this:

    Lt. Envok
    gerrylum

It seems like that would make it much easier to get into the spirit of the game rather than just displaying usernames, which are sometimes unpronounceable! I usually just end up referring to people by their stations, which doesn't seem as personal.

Better haptic feedback response from the Touch etc. controllers. Should only take effect on the hand that is doing the work - not both.

    Possible actions:

    • The active hand should 'click' when you go onto a button with an inverted click when it goes off. Also a click feel for tapping the buttons / flicking switches.
    • A sensation of picking up the Captains log thing and putting it down.
    • There should be a 'drag' sensation when pushing the warp lever.

Play Robo Recall on Oculus - free with the Touch. That is haptic feedback done well. Or even Obduction - that has buttons and levers right near the start of the game.

    Thanks!

Yes to this... Great points well made. Especially about the DLC segregation.
So many times booted from other games as I've not paid for extras...

Either that or make the DLC cheapish..

Some way for me to use the touch controls while sitting in my recliner! Let me angle the console, raise or lower the console, something! BTW, freaking love it!

This should be very important on the to-do list. The standard orientation is not enough to accommodate various seating. I must 'fake' the adjustment to where the games consoles are relative to myself by propping myself up a tad when I hit 'recenter'. We really would appreciate the ability to 'grab and align' our seating positions. I can not 'fake it' enough to fully operate the Captains 'tablet' on the 60's 1701.

In addition..perhaps we should have the 'Red Alert' button set the engineering to a pre-selected status? It would certainly help the engineer if the values change from full speed ahead to an all stop and ready shields when a few birds come out of hiding. This idea for a 'red alert' was a well established change with (I think) Commander Tucker and Capt Archer. It's lore in any case.

    Amazing experience

And let us pause in single player games.
