And how is that right?

    Let me put it to you in another way. Let's pretend you have an older brother who hates you for the very fact you were born. Beforehand, mommy and daddy doted upon their only child and showered him with so much love and affection, it turned him into a self-centered little cretin. But now he has to share that affection with the little bundle of joy that is you. And again, he HATES YOU for this. So as you're growing up together, every chance he gets, he likes to knock you down, stomp on your face, and kick you in the head. Mommy happens to catch him in the act one day and you think to yourself, "I'm saved, thank you for stopping him mommy". But does mommy really save you? Does she offer any form of punishment in reprimand or deterrent for future offense? No. Instead of punishing big brother for his dirty deeds, she instead takes him to Footlocker and buys him a nice new set of steel-toed cleats and says "now son, these metal spikey shoes can do ALOT OF SERIOUS DAMAGE to your brother, maybe now you'll think twice before you do it again". Yeah right.

    Same concept applies to increasing damage done to your allies. The fact that you might kill your allies IS NOT a deterrent to friendly fire. On the contrary, it just reinforces the behavior because now they get to have fun killing their team mates and their opponents all at once. Because it's fun. Because it's funny. Because they're already stupid a*sholes and you just gave them yet another tool to be game ruining d*ckheads with. If you want my honest opinion, anyone calling for an increase to friendly fire damage are exactly the kind of people WHO WANT THIS JUST TO ABUSE IT. It has nothing to do with wanting to make your opponents think before they act, and everything to do with the fact you just want to be able to friendly kill without having to waste your catapult or get a lucky "accidental" ledge shove.
    War is war and all is fair. I agree 75% . 25% does wanna see friendly fire to see if it does help.... i don't think the damage should be insane to point were it's a punish but more of warning.

    friendly fire

    I dont think they should increase it. but make it applies the same damage as to an enemy. its only fair and logical. i mean if you want to simulate real life.

    So let me get this straight, you're fine making it "realistic" enough to kill your allies but the realism of getting cut down by 3-4 people is just too much for you people to bear? "Oh no I'm being ganked, there are 4 people swinging sharp objects at me from all directions and I only have two hands to block with. It isn't fair, no matter how skilled I am I just cant keep up with all these stuns and shoves and being exhausted." It's okay for it to be realistic enough for team-mates to kill eachother but not so okay that when 4 seasoned warriors are stabbing you all over, it doesn't hurt your v*gina? I see.

    And before anyone says it, no, I am not arguing in favor of gankers. I'm making a point. You CAN NOT argue your case to increase friendly fire damage so allies can kill eachother on the basis of "realism" and complain about dieing when you're being ganked. It removes any credibility your argument holds when you're arguing both for and against the grounds of the argument itself.

    "I want it to be realistic in that my enemies can all kill eachother"
    "I don't want it to be realistic in that when I'm outnumbered, I don't die 95% of the time"

    I think the solutions i rather simple, you hit a friend ? you take 2x the damage you make on your ally with multiplier, the more you hit you ally in a row the more multiplier goes up... y think it's the only viable solutions, when people are no able to control themselve only punishement works...

    I agree with ATBallz. The solution is to not increase damage done the player hit. It is the most selfish thing ever. Why should we die more often due to ignorant teammates who spam side heavys and lights when you are standing right in front of them? If you really think increasing the damage done to us is going to make our team think "oh, I've almost killed my team mate, but nearly stolen his 4th kill, hmm I might lay off just in case I hit him and kill him" you are deluded. They are more likely than ever to swing wildly for a small laugh as they kill you and run off without a second thought.
    I thought everyone would agree that been hit by friendly fire is one of the most annoying and frustrating thing, but people want to increase that? Why should we not promote team play and team work but instead make the gap between us even larger, and m promote selfish play by not penalising the players who friendly fire? So very rarely am I the one hitting my teammate in the corner, but I am still to be punished for simply trying to play the game, while these guys get it scot free.
    It's not about realism, it's about what's right and what's fair.
    If anything if you want it to be realistic you should be arguing against increase of friendly fire? Would two highly experienced warriors be hounding on each other over one enemy in the corner hitting each other in the back with their swords? The answer is no.
    Do not penalise the poor soul who is getting killed, penalise the fool who thinks that friendly fire is ok and acceptable.

    I am not so delusional that I would believe an increase to FF is conducive to teamwork, but what will happen is that hapless opponent who just hit his teammate might just kill him or get him near close, and that's one less opponent for you to deal with, and if they deal with the GB stun locking maybe just maybe this game will be playable again

    We've already spoken about methods to ease the stress on the person being ganked, solutions that make it easier for the person being ganked by punishing the rampant spammer rather than the innocent bystander. Yet again, you are still so set on increasing the damage the spammer does to his buddy, again pushing the troll agenda. Rewarding rampant spammer idiots and trolls isn't going to make the game playable again. That is, unless your idea of making the game playable is to reduce the entire community to a handful of nothing but trolls who don't give a sh*t one way or another and you and all your spamt*rd buddies can have a swell time once everyone else has gotten tired of and dumped the game altogether. Because that is exactly what is going to happen. This game has enough bullsh*t to put up with now as it is, and if you really think adding to it by placing players in a situation where they're just going to constantly be getting killed by jack*sses is going to make things better, you are more than "so delusional". You're straight up certifiable.

    That may be true, but while you're busy killing these morons you're wasting time that should be used to actually end the match. As nice as it would be to be able to kill afk farmers, it would be a far better fix to allow the host of the session to kick them. I've already started a thread about a potential "kick for host" function and how to implement it in a way to prevent abuse. It'd be far more beneficial to be able to remove these players to replace them with a somewhat but not as useless bot until another player joins the session and takes its place than to now have two or more useless people on the team (the afk farmer/s and the person/people beating on them rather than contributing toward the end goal of the match).

    But you see, it works both ways. How many times have you been about to kill someone when your ally comes along and staggers you, which results in your death anyway? You may just be about to land that heavy for an execution and then the "hapless" ally comes along, either kills you due to friendly fire been increased or damages you so your opponent only has to sneeze and your dead. Or even better, you just killed an opponent in Dominion at B, and the above scenario happens. The minion soldiers would have a field day.

    I'd rather fight two opponents by myself any day because I know I can take them on by myself and still win, but when I see a teammate come running over I despair.
