If not, and if testing the game now the same issues persist, I'd certainly be interested to hear of this and see if there is anything I can recommend. I happened to come across the thread and wanted to reply just in case the issue was still ongoing.

Thank you for providing suggestions as requested, as well - these are helpful, and I can certainly understand the appeal of being able to tailor the experience to your own environment. You mentioned you have a recliner chair - have you ever played in another kind of chair, such as a desk chair, or dining chair? (The type of recliner I am imagining may be different to the one you meant, so forgive me if you're meaning a reclining desk chair or such).
I couldn't continue playing it because of this issue, I was hitting a dead end. And you could also see other people in this thread sharing my concerns. The only other chairs I have are my kitchen chairs. That's not going to work because of my setup. It's as if the game is made for bar stools or something. I did buy the TNG DLC in the vain hope that the issue would have been resolved, but that is not the case. Maybe you could reach out to the devs about this issue?

I can imagine playing on a bar stool would be mighty unbalanced, and probably uncomfortable... Definitely not ideal!

I will forward your feedback to the development team, certainly, as I do think it is a valuable suggestion, and I can completely understand wanting to set up the game to fit the environment you are playing in.

I cannot guarantee or promise any changes to the game would be made at this stage, however. Any updates will be announced here on the forums.

I just bought the game on Steam, and encountered the same issue. I did not have the issue with any other games I have played.

It is ridiculous that this bug still exists; your software should easily detect if the user's head is completely out of position for the avatar; my avatar can't even stretch its arms down to the buttons properly. Nor, for that matter, can I - I need to reach UNDER my desk in order to hit any buttons when in the captain's chair.

I use Unity and make small VR programs in my free time; I understand that this is not a trivial problem, but it's one that I solved in my own applications more than 3 years ago when I was making things for fun. There is no reason for this problem to exist in this game, so long after the game's launch and after years of VR was first introduced.

I'm just going to request a refund through Steam. I was planning to use this as a social game, but it's quite a disappointment from the start, and it didn't get any better a few minutes in.

Hey maxtor2, welcome to the Ubisoft Forums. Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us, and I'm sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience while playing Star Trek: Bridge Crew. As I said earlier in this thread, I can fully appreciate how this issue may prove troublesome for players, and I previously forwarded feedback regarding this to the devs. I'll raise it again now, though as before, I cannot promise that any changes to the game will be made as a result.

If you do give the game another chance in the future, I hope that you'll have a better experience with it; I'd recommend trying the game in different spaces to see if one works better than the others for you.

Good afternoon, sadly this is still occurring years later as I am still having this same issue playing it in late 2020. That this simple issue hasn't been addressed yet is pretty bad. I doubt that this was an oversight with QA as I'm a QA professional, and they would've definitely have raised this issue. I assume in that case that this is not a priority for the dev team. I propose that this IS a priority at this point if the game is to persist further.

Please have someone address this issue as I love Star Trek, and playing Bridge Crew is a great way of socialising during this time. I bought a PSVR setup purely for this game and am extremely disappointed that I am unable to play this as it was intended.

3 years later... Still a problem. In vain, I fired it up thinking for sure something must have been done. Wanted to check before I wasted money again on the quest version which I assume has the same problem. Not risking it.

Hey there Celedon99, thank you for your reply to this thread. I sincerely apologise for the delayed response, and hope that you have been well since the time of your post.

As previously mentioned, the feedback shared in this thread and on other sites such as Reddit has been forwarded to the development team. I've gathered additional information from this thread and others today and passed it forward, however it is unclear whether any additional updates will be performed on the game at this time. As soon as we have confirmation as to whether a fix for this issue will be implemented, we'll share it here in the thread.

In the meantime, if any other threads, posts or videos exist elsewhere about this same issue, please let me know so that I can add links to those to the conversation we have ongoing with the development team. Thank you!
