This game is boring without ranked

It's true, I'm looking forward to this very much cuz I'd like to check how good I am in comparison to others (simply 55% win ratio doesn't work for me). But they won't add it untill they figure out what to do with leavers and untill they "balance" the balancing issue.

well. season 1 competetive in Overwatch was a MASTER OF DISASTER. thanks to that blizzard quickly fixed all the bad things they've done with it (while season 2 was still bad and unbalanced).
Most ranked season 1 in games is bad. It only gives room for quick improvement.

Ranked mode is in the works, But I wouldnt expect a public release until season 3. They are experimenting using a dedicated server for Ranked mode. It will essentially work like a PTS (Private Test Server) and very likely for PC only, at least at first. If they are actively working on it now, then it should be reasonably ready for public by season 3, at least I hope.

They explained some of what they were doing during the Warriors Den to announce season 2. Youd have to go back to the video to find the exact wording yourself. Maybe Candle made a couple notes on it.

"They are working on tournament and rank mode, first step for this will be to do it through test servers with stuff they want to test before they release to everyone. They are not saying dedicated servers are coming just to clarify."
That was Candle's note on ranked from Warriors Den May 18th. One of his first notes so its probably pretty early in the stream.

That's where POSSIBLE dedicated servers for ranked mode could come into play. Like I said...apparently they are testing with this but we'll just have to see how successful it is.
