Okay I have reached my limit as well. Sorry guys.

I always see Noty and Jurassic come into "I am leaving" threads and asking the posters to be specific about why they are leaving or stepping away for a bit so I went in as much detail as I can. So I apologize for the wall of text.

The new heroes have officially sucked all of the fun out of the game for me and its not for the reasons that everyone else is using. Just got out of 3 matches in a row where I was the ONLY person using one of the OG heroes (My Beserker) while everyone else on my team and the enemy team was either a Shinobi or a Centurion.

Centurion and Shinobi is now making up 90% of the heroes I face on PS4 and despite the fact that I am one of the VERY FEW people that doesn't think they are OP I just can't play against them anymore and still have fun. Not because they are "OP", but because I am tired of facing the SAME EXACT Heroes every single game. The random team compositions were one of the things that made the game so damn fun to me. The fact that every game was something new because each player had their own preferred playing style and hero.

But now every single match is nothing but Centurion or Shinobi spam and its just sucking the life out of the game for me. I have to use the same tactics and the same playstyle EVERY game in order to properly counter them and I never to get to mix up the way I play like I used to have to do in order to accommodate the various tactics used by the different heroes in the game.

For example you can't fight an Orochi the same way you fight a LawBringer so you had to adjust your playstyle and mindset on the move. You truly had to outplay the other team. But now that every team is the same the game is getting ridiculously repetitive for me. I can stand the occasional bugs and I can stand the various imbalances in a game so long at the product itself is fun in the end. I can ignore ALOT of things so long as I am having fun, but this is no longer fun to me.

The worst part is I have no idea how you fix it. While I have already said the Centurion and Shinobi are not OP by my own definition they are definitely Top Tier in Dominion (The mode i play most) due to the various forms of CC and unique attack patterns. Meanwhile in a 1v1 situation the Centurion is Mid-Tier at best due to all of his things being easliy dodged and parried. While the Shinobi is up there with the PK in terms of speed, light attack spam, and mobility. But the moment you have an entire team of them the CC gets a little ridiculous. It can be countered for sure, but to have to play that way and deal with the same exact playstyle in match after match after match it just wears you down. You never get to enjoy the various match-up opportunities that you did before and you never get to enjoy the challenges that each hero in the game offers you because everybody is using the same people.

But the heroes themselves are not broken to me. What makes them a formidable opponent is when you put them together. Now that can be said for alot of heroes. 2 LawBringers or 2 Shugoki or 2 Conquerors or 2 Valkyires can have a stupid amount of CC as well, but we never saw that often enough to make it a widely used tactic because overall people preferred to play their own heroes than use the best tactics to win and that was a GOOD thing. People were more interested in having fun than they were in winning and in a video game thats the entire point. They valued being able to use their preferred heroes rather than make the best team composition and that led to some hilarious moments and challenges for me. The sheer randomness that the game provided was the best part and now thats completely gone.

Because now we have a perfect storm of Shiny New Characters that are not only fun to play, but also wildly effective in a team setting. So now everyone wants to play with the new toys that are both fun AND good. The problem is that its destroying what the game was built on. Player choice and different Team Compositions. You have given the playerbase options that are just BETTER at the most popular game mode than any other heroes in the game so everyone is flocking to that instead.

But here is the issue. If they are not broken on their own, but broken when put together how do you fix that? Its not the Centurions fault that he works amazingly well with another Centurion and its not the Shinobi's fault that he works so well with pretty much ANYBODY. So you essentially are going to have to balance them not based on what they can do on their own, but what they are capable of when used in combination with someone else and that is just a can of worms. Because if you don't change them ENOUGH then we still have the same problem, but if you do TOO MUCH then yeah they will no longer be an issue in Team Play at the cost of their ability to stand alone being potentially destroyed.

I do not envy the team right now. With the other various issues going on and a playerbase that is yelling for nerfs and balance whether its deserved or not can't be easy. You guys are gonna have to get this right on the first try and its gotta be SOON, because of you don't then you could be in serious trouble. The very best suggestion that I have heard since the game released was made by "We.The.North" last night and he suggested that players be allowed to choose their heroes BEFORE matches and then have the matchmaking place them with other players who aren't using the same heroes whenever possible so that we could have guaranteed diversity and I frickin LOVE that idea. It would solve so many issues in one go so PLEASE pass that along to the team if you are reading this UbiNoty or UbiJurassic.

Because I love and support this game so much that I have been attacked and labeled a Fanboy and an Ubisoft shill. So when somebody that is as devoted and supportive as I am is stepping up and saying that I am walking away until some changes are made you know that the less diehard and more casual fans even further down the road to leaving than I am.

I hope to see an update soon. Until then I will just have to make due with Siege and Battlefield. I hope you guys understand this isn't me saying I don't appreciate what progress you guys have made so far in terms of stability and other various improvements, but the new heroes simply made the game take 4 HUGE steps backwards.

I look forward to playing again soon.

    Thank you,,
I can identify with all that you have said,,I'm gutted at the moment that the direction this beautiful game has taken.
I shall keep faith that this will all work out in the wash and we'll be back playing the game as near to what it used to be like..
Bloodborne and Battlefield one for me.
    Keep the faith 💮💮💮

We've certainly seen the suggestion of picking heroes prior to starting the matchmaking process several times now. I can assure you that the suggestion has been forwarded. As for balance on the new heroes, as I'm sure you already know, this will take time and the team is looking to make appropriate changes based on the data and feedback we've been getting on them over the past two weeks. Thank you for your feedback and I hope that our future updates will be exactly what you're looking for.

Take your sweet time, no worries at this point. But I wonder if there will be enough players around by the time things get fixed, which obviously won't be the first supposed balance patch you will do god knows when.

Like I said. Its not anything against the progress you guys have made its just that the current problem of NOTHING but the same heroes is too much for me. I can take alot of things, but repetitiveness isn't one of them sadly.

I am glad to know though that the hero before matchmaking thing has been brought to the Devs. I guess I just never saw it mentioned before. Its such a great solution to my problem and alot of the balance issues. I hope the team is taking a close look at it.

And sorry again for the wall of text. i was trying my best not to be one of the salty ragequit thread makers that we have seen in the past lol

    1) I am leaving the game. Not the forum. I obviously need to stick around to see the progress thats made.

    2) That is not even remotely true seeing as my reason for drawing a line doesn't contradict a single point I have made lol The problem has only arisen on PS in the past 5 days.
