    Far Cry 5 Theories

So i thought i could create this so that anyone from the Far Cry 5 community can share his/hers theories about the game.
Here is mine: I am not sure if we know anything about the protagonist of Far Cry 5, but i think there is a slight chance that the male character may be Ajay from Far Cry 4. As we all know he has lived in America before going to Kyrat. Maybe everything in Kyrat is now peaceful and he has returned to the US so that he can live his life like a normal person, not like the next Rambo or smth, but he did not choose the right place for that.
I know this theory may sound stupid, but i just wanted to share it with someone.
    Share yours!

The one major flaw in your theory is that it has been announced that the protagonist in FC5 is customizable. We choose a gender and a few other custom options at the outset, which I view as a mistake and not particularly a direction I enjoy, but it is what it is I guess... Suppose they realized they can't make a character who is not criticized or picked apart, and especially considering the themes they're addressing probably didn't want to have you be a specific race or gender as you know that would've caused some sort of uproar from one group or another regardless of what gender or race they'd made the character...

Well that would be nice, but I think we will have a new protagonist, someone out for revenge. So I assume they will either live in the county or have had friends/ family murdered in the county. I'm already hyped for the game, I love the way we start out vulnerable and gain skills and weapons and confidence as we slowly get the finale...

I haven't seen much of the top bad guy, and it will be difficult to make him as evil but also as likeable as Vaas or Pagan Min... but I get the feeling, I'll be a little reluctant when it comes to that fight. But I'll still win

I thought that the player will choose only the gender of the character. Thanks for backing me up there!

From what I surmise, the game starts when the player & 2 other deputies show up to arrest Joseph Seed because apparently other law enforcement had been sent previously but never returned. So the 3 deputies are sent in, things break bad and that is the start of the game. My hypothesis is that one of those deputies is killed in the process, and the other becomes your coop partner for when you play in coop mode, but thats just a guess. I don't think you are a local to the area, I think the local sheriff is whose disappearance you were sent in to find out about, maybe from a neighboring county... The way the game explains your isolation and lack of governmental intervention will be one aspect i'm very much looking forward to see how it is explained, because it sort of requires addressing....

the downside to the custom character is it restricts the character from a developmental standpoint. For one, I doubt they'll be a speaking character anymore, so that right there hinders story-telling. At the same time, I think it was done to negate any negative repercussions. There is already plenty of uproar from religious extremists, imagine if they'd made a defined character who was black or native american, racists' heads would explode, and these people who are already proclaiming the game is a message of white genocide would have a field day..

I really liked Jason Brody from FC3, I enjoyed seeing him evolve in the game from scared and alone into a savage killer doing anything to save his friends. I hope our player has a voice still once we've created our character, too many first-person games have a protagonist that is completely unrelatable and empty

Yea I hope for this too, Jason was kind of a jerk but he had lots of character which made him memorable.

Non of the characters ever returned (with the exception of Hurk). I liked Vaas, but that is only because the actor is soooo great (also my reason to watch the "Better Call Saul" series :P )
