Please change the default Voice Chat Mode... I dislike single player games.

It feels like I'm always playing a single player simple because there is ZERO talking.

The default Voice Chat Mode is set to "Closed"... why?

The fact that I have to even make this thread blows my mind. It's an online team game... and Voice Chat is off? Wtf....

It gets really boring when I feel like I'm playing against the computer, simply from the complete lack of player interaction...

Hell, as a new player, I didn't even kno you could talk until I googled whether or not the "feature" (lol) was in the game...

Oh, and not having an in-game keyboard Chat option is ridiculous as well...

I know PC allows a keyboard chat - or at least did at some point. With console it would be hard to type so you would almost have to be limited to team speak.

One issue is that people ignore the teamchat either wittingly, or unwittingly.

If it was "easy" to use team chat nstead of just creating a party and using the party chat, you might have a lot of really angry players screaming obscenities at the younger players with parents sitting over their shoulders, and then those parents call ubisoft saying "my little precious darling baby shouldnt have to be called racial slurs while he plays his video games".

Don't get me wrong. There are many things that can be done by the parents including muting the chat or having their kids play the Lego games or something less adult in the first place, but I assume this is why the chat is so limited. It is a very emotional game in the first place so you know people would be screaming at each other a lot.

And I haven't even mentioned how ****ing annoying it would be to have some 12 year old constantly screaming in your ears every time they get killed. I don't know for sure, but these seem like the reasons the devs elected to make it sort of limited and ambiguous.

I agree with you in that I want a little more chat - even in the quick chat - or something that will allow for more strategy between PUG groups. I even read a post that suggested a faction chat in the global map to allow some coordination with the war assets which I thought was a great idea and even more important.

I agree, it should be active as default. You can always mute people if needed

There's an option to mute players? Legit? Where? Omg that would be a godsend. I have my audio turned on and I have entire matches I have to take my headset off because of someone playing garbage music, speaking in languages I don't understand nor care to learn, or simply wont stfu. I'm glad you want to talk but jesus christ you're so busy running your mouth you aren't paying attention to the game.
