    Mormonism Depiction

So, I don't think the cult is going to have any relation to Mormonism, but Montana is at the fringe of Mormon country, and Mormonism has a long history of cults and conflicts with the government. Do you think Mormonism will make any sort of appearance in the game, and in what way?

No, Ubisoft only hates Christians.....they'll never mock other religions.

Right?!?! I guess some people refuse to realize that the one definite christian character that has been depicted in all the media for this game, Father Jerome, is part of the local resistance taking up arms against the cultists, but acknowledging that would diminish the spread of misinformation & uneducated ideology.

Actually you are wrong. A Pastor grabbing a gun out of a Bible that's pages have been ripped out (another mockery) to murder other humans is just a mockery of Christianity to the extreme. You are blind and think that one persons actions are ok because he is a good guy....instead of understanding what the religion is even about. You do not have a clue. The entire game on both the "good guys" and "bad guys" sides is a mockery of Christianity....but you will never get it.....even if I drew pictures for you. Ever heard of "Thou shalt not kill"? But it's ok for a Pastor to go shoot people in the head because he's a "good guy" right? lol.....The mockery goes right over your head, that's sad.

Agreed, he reminds me of Dennis from FC3, looks to be an interesting character, well, they all do to be honest. I hope the protagonist has lots of character too, Jason was kinda cool, but I found Ajhay to be as dull as dishwater.

Kaide_XIV this seems to be more about you than the actual topic you are dictating on.

Respect other peoples opinions and if you don't agree then that is your choice, so it is not a good idea to be talking religion or politics in a gaming forum.
The cover for the game is what it is, you interperit it your way - others can see it their way, it does as intended which is why you are talking the way you are - not the first time they have caused controversy and guess what it is free publicity so the more people complain the bigger the story and the more people will notice the game.

I will say he who laughs last laughs loudest - so lets wait and see how the story pans out because it appears that this is the opposite of what you think, this is about a cult who are hell bent on forcing via fear and brutality everyone to follow THEIR religious beliefs, it is the cult who are in that image and the leader who possibly thinks he is some kind of messiah.

Now imagine that the person or people playing the story are good people who want to take down this evil cult so that other good folk can then go back to church and follow the religion they had done previously would that then be a happy ending - do you not think that Ubisoft will know of the controversy this game cover will cause, I think they might get the last laugh so lets wait until we play the game and see how the story actually works before pointing the finger and assuming we know. (If I am wrong then I will say hey guys I got it wrong - also it is a video game and is fictional so chill out.

Well let's see....we have a Pastor opening a Bible that he cut the pages out (mockery intended) to hide a gun inside so that he could go kill people (mockery intended)......and the Bible specifically states "Thou shalt not kill" (which Ubisoft mocks with their Pastor).....yep nothing to see here folks, nothing at all. You want me to respect other peoples opinions about bashing my religion while Ubisoft and others trash it and make a mockery of it? I'll pass in the same way any intelligent Muslim or Jew will pass.

So I looked through your posts, you actually write vile things.

"Far Cry 6 needs to take place in Israel where we murder every single person in the Synagogues. The cult's name will be "The Synagogue of Satan". Our goal is to torture, gas, burn, and slaughter every last one of the people inside those Synagogues in Israel"

You post sick things such as that above and then write ".....and the Bible specifically states "Thou shalt not kill" hiding behind religion, I really hope the moderators on here give you a massive extended break with no way back because you are offensive and hell bent on causing drama.

Did you see the Pastor's video?

It shows a desperate Pastor. He wants to save his church, congregation, and the cult's intended victims. Torn between following his (good) Christian values, and doing what's needed to let the Christian values once again be the shepherd of a now divided flock. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Ultimately the Pastor gives in too, and becomes "The Wolf". Even if that means undertaking actions that contradict everything Christianity stands for. Though he may be considered a "good guy", he is no longer in the face of God. That's what makes the story powerful.

It's a shame that you tend to see this as Ubisoft 'mocking' Christianity as a religion. First of all, it's storytelling, and if anything: the Pastor's faith is being mocked by the cultists... Why not wait until the game comes out, and you can respond to the actual story being told?

Yep, it's within the Forum Rules: trolling, religious slurs, and spamming multiple topics.
