Loved it personnaly. Hope it will the salme kind of asymetrical stuff. And since we got fangs for hire and things like that, I guess it's gonna be.Originally Posted by usmovers_02 Go to original post
Not that I've ever played much of MP in the FC games (primarily because it has always felt sub-par in comparison to shooters where MP is the focus) but I would prefer it just be man v. man, resistance v. Eden's gate symmetrical shooter with a few basic modes but a total focus on putting custom made maps front & center. That is the one feature that is unique to FC's MP and it should be the thing they center all the design around.... but again, this is just the perspective of someone who never really plays the MP, so what do i know....
I have not seen anything on the player count anywhere on the internet. I will have to check that out.
I would prefer 6v6 or more. Most important factor for me would be how well matches on custom multiplayer player maps felt and performed.
I really liked the lobby system for Far Cry 2 and how creative the maps are. But I did not like how slow player response felt in the game.. Also the vehicles are not very good compared to FCIP. If you hit a bush the car would start smoking and they have a sluggish feel to them. I am happy they are in the game. Despite the vehicle shortcomings.
I also like how simple Far Cry instincts Predator was. You would just pick through a number of host on a screen. You could see how many were in the game and how many player were able to join. You could host up to 16 player with vehicles too. Most when I played set it to 14 or 12. Because you would have too much lag in the game at 16. Most gamers at that time did not have the internet speeds as they do today.
When you found a good host with the right amount of players. Usually around 12 or 14 players. The response time was great. Movement speed of your character was perfect to me. The vehicle were very good too. Though the editor was not as good as FC 2. Also the host had a huge advantage on FCIP.
So each Far Cry had it's pluses and minuses. But FC 3 dropped the ball for custom maps with no way to host a list of maps. FC 4 either single or Co op. Nothing for primal.
So let's hope Ubisoft takes the best from each Far Cry. To make the ultimate Far Cry that most map editors want.!!!!
