    leading the herd

Cattle are often fed from the back of a truck or 4-wheeler when the grasses aren't sufficient. So when they see the vehicle moving, they follow. It's funny when a city person is given the wheel without any feed and thinks he or she is being chased!

This or something like it could be a funny and strategic experience in Far Cry 5. The first time you drive past a herd and they follow, you might be alarmed or excited. When you realize they will follow, you might lead a herd into an enemy camp. Alternatively, you might push the herd with a vehicle or a scary explosion.

Can anybody else think of some gameplay opportunities that take inspiration from ranch or rural life?

There could be a fun challenge involving dynamite, for example.

I don't know if Montana has as many feral hogs as we do in Texas. But there might be an amusing mission or two about them. A friend likes to shoot them while sitting on his porch, and jokes that he aims for the ones the same size as his grill.

Maybe Hurk will try to start a bacon cult.

On the other hand, boar can be vicious and some of the scariest threats to hunters. Look up "hogzilla" -- they can get big. That might be a cool hunt in Far Cry or a constant threat in the wild.

Ha! Now that would be a usecase for parking the vehicle on a slope, and releasing the brakes!

I liked that feature in Far Cry 4, but hardly found much use for it.
