    Feint Light, Parry Heavy

    I think about feinting constantly and believe this is one of thee key mechanics surrounding the defensive meta, we've all been in matches where each player is afraid to throw out an attack for fear of getting parried and it just becomes this feinting war, i believe i have the solution here

    you need to separate feint and parry, by making it so you can feint light attacks and not heavies you make feints more convincing and parries riskier

    so consider this, you cant make parrying more difficult it just isn't feasible, but you can make it riskier, if you separate the feint and parry inputs it would virtually eliminate the ability to feint in response to another players feint,.

    now conversely you could make it feint heavy light parry but as someone pointed out in a previous thread with a similar suggestion it would be difficult to parry a light after heavy feint with/against some heroes

    i truly believe this is something ubisoft should have considered during development, and maybe they did, but i believe it should be re/considered if not for this game perhaps for honor 2,

    Am I missing something here? The parry and feint mechanics are already separate (at least on PS4). I was under the impression that parries were performed using the same button as heavy attacks (R2), and feints were performed using circle, with the exception of the Kensai who has initiation feints and can change the direction of his heavy by inputting the heavy from another direction shortly after initiating the first heavy. Are the mechanics different for xbox and pc?

    at no point did I suggest they change the actual input of O/B or whatever M&KB uses, simply that you shouldn't be able to feint with the same attack you use to parry, so yes you did miss something

    In compare to this suggestion i like your old idea, shorten the feint window, more

    I get it, you don't have to agree with me, but if we as a community don't help ubisoft come up with a way to counter the defensive meta without breaking 4v4 modes i'm afraid this game is going to become an ublockable spam fest, its already half way there already

    With these statements you imply that the two functions are performed similarly, and that their input needs to be altered to correct the problem. You literally said change the inputs. So no, I don't think I missed anything. Perhaps you need to be more concise with how you're speaking and what you mean to prevent confusion?

    o.O this isn't meant offensive - it's just my opinion. But i always appreciate new ideas and yours aswell.

    Yep i wana help too

    4v4 is already broken due to the 2 new chars, especially Centurions stuns. But this is another topic.
