I don't understand people who complain that the game's look the same. How different should they be and at what point sweeping changes to all the game's features just necessitate calling it a whole new IP... Seriously... I said this in another thread but look at splinter cell. They made significant wide ranging changes with conviction and everyone was up in arms saying "this isn't splinter cell anymore" but FC makes multiple smaller scale changes & retains the things they know were well received like the outposts & people complain it's just copied & pasted gameplay... there is no winning with these people who say change it more or the ones who say don't change it at all...thankfully for myself I am somewhere in the middle and I think FC5 looks great, even if they arent doing all the things I think they should do...

This is really 2 games in 1:
    1. Far Cry: Primal
    2. The Crew: 2

It has all of the elements that 'everyone' found so fascinating in FC:P, that they are doing it in 5 (except this time they are giving us coop), and made FC:P THE de-facto game of all years ever made FC !!!
It will also be the next The Crew 2 game (same engine).

Ubisoft is economizing right out of bussiness.

And, I really do like almost all of Ubi's games also.
    Its just too bad.

I really cant unstand what you are trying to say, especially since The Crew 2 was already announced I am pretty sure it uses the same engine as The Crew, which was apparently called Babel, meaning its not using Dunia.

Well the guy referred to Far Cry Primal as the "defacto game of all years ever made FC!!!" so he clearly has a couple screws loose. I can't figure out if he's praising or bashing Ubi. The first half of his post he sounds excited, but then the second half he just talks $#!+ on Ubi, so I really dunno what this dude's deal is...

You're not alone. A Montana-based religious militia organization? Could they get any less imaginative? After Far Cry 4 and Far Cry Primal, both of which I loved for their imaginative settings and despite Primal's shortcomings (I really missed the ability to replay raids on villages and strongholds), I was hoping the next Far Cry would take me somewhere new and exciting. But Montana? I already live in the US - I can drive two hours out into the country and see the same scenery and meet the same religious nutjobs - I don't need to spend game time here. And yet another religious cult? I mean, this just looks so boring!

After Primal, they could have taken us anywhere: if they wanted to go back to the religious-nut storyline, we could have gone to the medieval era with witchcraft and fanatical Christians, or Scandinavia in the age of the Vikings. Renaissance Europe during the Spanish Inquisition. We could have seen the human-sacrificing Aztecs during the era of the Spanish conquistador. The world and all of history is available, and they choose modern day Montana. Yawn!

Well, Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming out at about the same time. I know where my $60 is going to get spent.

Where's Far Cry 6 going to be set: Pennsylvania with an Amish cult making people drive horse-drawn carts? England with radical Church of England fanatics forcing people to sing hymns at gunpoint? Salt Lake City with a bunch of nutty Mormons forcing people to wear magic underwear?

Actually, Primal was great to my point of view. It was the FC game that did achieve some of the promises they made for years: meaningful crafting, free choices of how you want to tackle the stories, poison and venom, survival mode, true nocturnal shift in animals and plants, weapons breaking... the list could go on for a few elements.

Concerning Montana, I'm not really interested in the location but the gameplay and novelties sure will make me go over it.

I dont understand why some people are so butthurt about the setting and antagonist of FC5. Its fiction, not real life! If I threw a fit everytime a game or movie has Germans as villains (Nazi or otherwise) I wouldnt have time for anything else!

I hope they have redone all of the animations, by the looks of the trailer (the bear chasing the man) it didn't look like it.
