As a Lawbringer, I would say maybe one of the new weapons is useable (the Eleazer looks decent, with the right setup). The rest are just overwhelmingly gaudy, in a bad way (the Scotael is *AWFUL*). Could we please get non-golden weapons in the future? I'd say we're beyond capacity, at this point. As for the new armor, should have added a couple more ridge plates to each shoulder piece. They just look weird as they currently are (unusable).
I agree... Before the Shinobi came out, my main was (and is probably accurate to say it still is) the Orochi. The unique weapon was the Kusanagi sword. It was so ornate (I also read the background on the legend of the real world sword it was based on...), I felt both wrong using it (from a respect point of view) and I felt that any weapon with that much decoration on it would be unbalanced or that the gold plating would come off in combat. It felt like something that belongs on a wall or in a glass case - not in battle.
That said, the new unique Orochi blades (particularly the Ippei set which has become my new favourite) look more practical than the past.
'tis appreciated.Originally Posted by UbiJurassic Go to original post
As a warlord, I agree with this 100%. All my new shields and hilts look like cheaply painted toys with giant gaudy decorations glued onto them. The metallic colors look more like someone bought a can of yellow or silver spraypaint rather than actual gold/brass/bronze or steel, and the massive gaudy decorations on the shields get in the way of showing off any cool symbols or engravings you've earned.Originally Posted by Felis_Menari Go to original post
Wouldn't it be nice if there was an option to customize our weapons our own way when it comes to selecting coloration and whatnot? We can change the material and slather all kinds of paint all over our armor but we cant reskin our weapons? Some of the flashier gear I really like the look of, but the gaudiness of the gold ruins it for me. Perhaps we could change the "material" of the weapon similar to like what we do with the gear, this way we can use the pieces of gear we like but make it a color palette that suits us? Maybe change the metals used and the gemstones embedded in them (e.g. if you want a ruby instead of a sapphire)?
