What about the word "there" has anything to do with french? It's old english, dutch & german in origin....

before 900; Middle English (adv.), Old English thǣr thēr, cognate with Dutch daar, Old High German dār; akin to Gothic, Old Norse thar

By the way, I don't want to be rude or anything. Just happy to learn new ways of saying things in other languages than mine.

No way would they let him last more than a minute with accusations like that. It's a very liberal site, yes. But they aren't supporters of terrorists LOLOL

but Neogaf is often afraid to criticize Islam, Radical Islam, Jihadism etc.

they like going after Christianity more, even though Islam right now is a greater threat to the world

Why not Islam? Why is this political? Because you're projecting pretty damn hard. Is it such a crime to make a game about cults? The Branch Davidians were an actual American Cult. Their leader saw himself as the next-coming of Jesus and it ended with the Waco siege. In fact, the main dude is wearing similar glasses and clothes as Disciples of Christ pastor and Peoples Temple founder Jim Jones ,whose cult ended up killing 918 people. Why not Islam? Because what kind of damn Far Cry game can you make about it? It's never been a competition about what's the most dangerous place on earth. BTW, bringing up random neogaf posters just shows your insecurity.

Oh my god... No matter where you set your game, or who you make the enemy out as, there will always be a contrarian who thinks it's offensive and would rather have it set somewhere else. But the reality is, as a developer you just have to set your mind to one idea, you can't make all games globetrottling games where you get to kill one person of each skin color, and each religion and each preference of potato chips...

This complaint is just silly and I think you know it. I'm excited about the story and I think it has great potential for some colorful christian characters and lunatics that will be memorable like Vaas was (but not Pagan-Min). If you want to kill ISIS members in the next game, then fine, that's a perfectly valid complaint, but to say that this direction is "wrong" because Christians don't commit as many terrorist attacks as Muslim extremists does, is just silly. It's a **** video game. Enjoy it! It will be fun, I am willing to bet on it!

I think we should be more tolerant and accepting. If Muslims were to complain when they are the enemy faction in a video game, then nobody could make games anymore because not a single setting would be "OK", because there is always someone who is offended by the theme. Now I'm fine with people complaining about stuff they don't like, and I'm glad you're not afraid to do that, but please don't complain about silly stuff. The FC community is above this We want GOOD games, not politically correct games, right?! So please don't give them a hard time with pathetic complaints when they actually deliver!
