This is more of a poor design discussion than a bug. It is one I have seen shared with most third person games with first person sights no matter who did it. It even is a problem in a lot of purely first person games (the best, most immersive, way to game by the way). The field of view (FOV) is too tight, magnified too much. With Wildlands it mainly applies to iron sights, the so-called panoramic sight, and some scopes with 1X power. The field of view is too narrow because it is over magnified. These options are used most in close quarters, clearing rooms, working through an outpost. In those cases you really need your peripheral vision to detect threats. Players who play in a tactical manner usually have their sights up most of the time when in contact with the enemy. So having a wider FOV is a huge help. When I can set my FOV I generally go no less than 90 degrees but usually go for 100 degrees. Yes it changes the magnification but the sights are generally over magnified in most games. The best solution I have seen is where the game provides the options for setting the overall FOV and the sights up FOV. This is usually done with a slider. Players need a range to over 100 degrees since I know many that use a wider FOV than I do.
Is there a way for me to adjust the over the sights FOV? An ini file or something?
