Just kept matching peacekeeper side to side and none registered as block and last night centurion killed me with 5 straight light attack right, and my arrow to the side whole time and it kept fading in and out

is it happening only with the valkyrie?
try to see in the settings of windows in the controller pane if the stick is centered correctly or if it "trembles" (xbox controllers tend to have poor sticks and they start to break quite easly giving ghost imputs).

I've only noticed with valkyrie, seems to happen quite often, especially against peacekeepers and berzerker, berzeeker very often, heavies get through even though im matching sides

i played valkyrie a bit today and i didn't had any problem.
Are you trying to parry? NAT green? check if it happens with other heroes and check the controller settings

oh: i'm on pc so if you are on console maybe there's some problem with that

Yes very often with berzerker, almost always side to side and over top heavy gets through

go check the control setting and see if the stick is centered and if you have some ghosting happening. if not try against bots, if it happens in custom matches with bots and your controller is working perfectly then i don't know what the problem is*.

*you can always roll a shinobi and forget about any problem.
