    Level, Skills, and Achievements all lower and less than last I played 3 weeks ago?!?!

    I logged in yesterday and found my level lower, a good portion of my skills reset to NONE and achievements missing and map reset. Thinking it was just a problem with cloud sync I logged off and waited till today and tried playing and it was the same. I have gone through the forums and see nothing similar other than cloud syncing between different computers but I am on the same machine so that shouldn't be affecting me. Need some help figuring out whats going on or if this was a reset and if so why?

    Hmm, this is pretty interesting. Out of curiosity, do you have the most recent patch installed?

    I do have the most recent patch and that's when this occurred .... after I patched. whats really interesting is that it shows one of my most used and favorite weapons and I don't have use of that weapon now. I had the EMP on my drone and now not even close to having it. Those are just a couple examples ... the biggest hurt is the sniper rifle I had which also is now no longer accessible.

    We currently don't have a workaround to recover your old progress since the progress is only saved locally. The best advice we can offer you, is to delete the corrupted file and start over with a new save file in order to avoid further loss of progression. Please note, you will have to start the game over.

    PC:
    If you have an experienced an issue with your save progress getting corrupted on PC, please try the following workaround:

    1. Disable Cloud Sync in Uplay
    2. Delete save folder
    3. Start game and create new character.
    4. Do some stuff, get auto saved and quit the game
    5. Enable sync in Uplay again
    6. Start the game, It will prompt you with a choice between the local savegame and the cloud save game from the sync.
    7. Choose local savegame.
    8. You can now continue playing without having to create a new character again



    This is a problem they are aware of that in their cloud and they cant fix it and I am being told I can start over?!?!


    I understand you say there is nothing you can do that, but how is it corruption in YOUR cloud cant be fixed and you don't have some kind of backup to stop this as rampant as its becoming and why is only PART OF MY Progression was lost and there were SEVERAL others in the forums with the SAME ISSUE? This is poor support and for these reasons I believe its on YOUR end AND I think its sad all you can offer is for me to START OVER?!?!?!

    Restoring Lost Game Saves FIX

    OK everyone, here is what you can do. Open Windows System Restore, and look for a date before your game was hacked or crashed or lost save. Since ubisoft doesn't use the "User Profile" and instead keeps your saves here.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\c6eaee10-2bc4-44cf-89d6-201cb33dd592\1771. So when you do a system restore it will replace the save games you have too.


    The next step is very important as you don't want to overwrite the save you just restored. So when you open the "Uplay Launcher" make sure to GO TO SETTINGS AND TURN OFF CLOUD SYNC! Then start the game and you will be able to load your correct save. Close the game, then go to settings and RECHECK CLOUD SYNC. Once you start the game again it will ask you what save you want to load. Pick the local one and then start the game.


    Once you do that. Start making a backup of your game saves every few days. This way should something happen again you can just restore your saves.
    The easiest way is with a Google Account which gives you online cloud storage for free. Just setup the sync and let it keep them backed up for you .


    I would advise anyone who was hacked to go and change your Uplay Account password, along with GRWN and any other ones you have with Ubisoft.
