Hey Ubi/Devs and Community,
in this thread i will give my experience about the 2 new classes.
I play on PS4 and i only fought against them because i am not a SP-owner.
Shinobi:My first impression is, it is a cool design and a fresh Fighting Style. I like the agility of this hero.
Shinobi is a breaks the main principe of the close combat in for honor (i don't say it is bad)
But my experiences until now are not more negative then positive.
1. Charged Attack - wide range attack/gb:
It is a cool new way to play but there are many points this mechanic does not match the game.
- the range attacke is very fast (as fast or even faster than berserker light attacks(talking about basics not in combo)) and heavy at the same time
- You can chose between GB or attack, this makes it a guessing game for people who are fighting the shinobi - but the real problem here is in 4v4 modes
-> most of the time you can't react to it if a shinobi sneaks up and grabs you from far away while you are fighting someone else.
in a gank situation you can normaly see whats going on around you, how many enemies are on you, and you see if the attack so you can block it with the the block for enemies you are not lock on or you can see a GB coming - with the shinobi you can't evade/break the GB if you don't know that a shinobi is somewhere in the near
it happens very oftern that 2 shinobis are pulling you from one side to another and you can't do anything (centurion has a similar problem)
My suggestion here:
1. Remove the GB from the charge
2. After the heavy HITs (not blocked), you have a short window where you can GB the enemy -> the move would be still the same and would have the same risky/reward, the only change would be, it is much fairer in a "gank" because you could block it and you could close the distance abit easier in 1v1 against a shinobi by dodging without risking an safe GB for the Shinobi.
2. Flying kick
- the Flying kick is the new(old) Oni charge, it is really hard to react to it ( i managed to dodge it twice from over 100 moments some shinobi used/abused it) and i am pretty good in dodging. It gives a free heavy, and on top of it a free execution AND drains stamina (so it has even more advantage then the old oni-charge)
-shinobis other unblockable kick drains very much stamina aswell
- it isn't punishable (only with some swift attacks if you are lucky)
Suggestion:
1. reducing or removing the stamina drain from the enemy
2. Replace the safe heavy for a safe light.
