There better not be another new gear system next season, i'm really pissed about how devs have duped people into spending precious time grinding steel and real money (for pay to win people) for gears that will be redundant in the future. Who wants to bet that this will be the case?

After this last gear system change I doubt anyone who actually paid for gear upgrades will willingly do it again, which translates to lost customers for Ubisoft. Not providing a one-time stat reset for players to recalibrate their old builds to fit a new system change and thus maintain their usefulness/value doesn't make sense from a business perspective to me, it's like encouraging customers to customize in their system, even advertising that they can use their own personal real-world money to do so, and then taking everything they worked/paid for away. It was a considerate gesture of Ubisoft to offer 4 crates and Champion status to propitiate this transition process, and I appreciate that they're working hard to ensure a fair and balanced gear stats system for which this proves an inevitable consequence, but it was a painful process nevertheless that could have been mitigated by allowing players some control over their old gear's stats changing over to the new system.

All i'm saying is that i really hope this is the final time ubisoft will do a gear change tier, as it is very costly for people who have 3 or more characters to max yet again. I get what you're pointing out as a business perspective, but if this happens again un the future i swear ubi will loose a looot more people...

I think there will be more. They'll need to give people something more to aim for a few months from now. The same gear is going to get old.

New additional gears on same tier seems ok, they can add freshness too. But another whole gear "revamp" or more gear tiers are not.

We can't guarantee changes won't come in the future, but the current changes were made to promote a healthier gear system and to provide new stats that players' would want to actively use.

and then in S3 they introduce legendary tier equipment which will be green colored and have even better stats and max level 30
and then in S4 they introduce divine tier equipment which will be pink colored and have even better stats and max level 36
and then in S5 they introduce artifact tier equipment which will be rainbow colored and have even better stats and max level 50 but can only be purchased with real world money
