Take care while you're in the store!

Stupid nonsense just happened to me.

I went into the store and saw that the bundle section (bottom left corner) had an exclamation mark on it so I went to see what was new. Oh, a skeleton bundle for £7.99. I wonder what you get? *taps*

Thumbs go back to their resting position while it loads (one of which is the Home button).

Authorised! Thank you for your purchase!

Are you f**king kidding me?! I didn't even get to see the contents of the bundle. For all I know I bought just a skeleton outfit for 8 quid!

Needless to say I went to Apple Support and they refunded the IAP for me.

So this is just a warning for you guys - Take care while in the store. I've been playing this game since the beginning and it still caught me out. There is no "Are you sure?" or "Would you like to purchase this?" dialog when you tap on something, it just rolls straight into Apple authorisation. It's the same when buying stuff with gems - no dialog box. You're just an accidental tap away from rinsing your gem stash.

There really, REALLY needs to be confirmation dialogs when dealing with both real currency and in game currency.

Seems to be the case with most game apps. Personally, I think it's appalling and should be addressed. As for the 50% off bundles... ugh, I'm not even going there!

To me, it's a clear indication of a game company out to rip you off, because it really isn't hard to add a confirmation box/screen.

This is why I have my password required for every purchase/app download, because it prevents any purchase with real money. Shame you can't stop the in-game stuff though! that's happened a couple of times.

At least you got your money back.

Hey CasuallyDressed, sorry for your experience, and we’re glad you received the refund.
Every in-app purchase in the game has a confirmation pop-up on Android, but you might have to be a bit careful in the Shop.
We’ll look into this problem and see if we can add a pop-up for purchases on iOS.

@CasuallyDressed, glad you got your moneys back.
I went this same thing over in 2014: you touch it, you buy it and no questions asked. Got my gems back after some emails but is this "new bug" present again?
Some time after my incident there was an update at least on iOS that added confirmation dialog for all purchases.

Better still not touch anything shiny as it seems

Yeh there is no option on iOS.

Before, there wasnt event a confirmation when buying items from the Daily Shop.

It used to cost a fortune in gems for the accidental clicks.

In iOS go to Settings > App and iTunes Stores > Password Settings and tap Always Require.
You'll be asked to type in your password each time you make an IAP.
    Hope this helps
